The role of the Project Manager is to plan execute and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and co-ordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors in order to deliver projects according to plan. Set-up and co-ordination of Project Team and contract documentation in order to plan and execute the project in accordance with client requirements.Liaise with the Client to agree on any unresolved issues related to the project e.g. technical issues programme and contractual issues; Set overall completion schedule milestones and key. Administration and Management of the Project to ensure that all disciplines fulfill their requirements and that the programme and budget are maintained at acceptable levels. Initiate procurement of all items especially long lead items. Schedule regular meetings both internally and with the client to monitor progress on the project. Ensure timeous Progress Reports to management and to the client. Management of Client and Client Relations in order to facilitate a good working relationship and the possibility of extra contract work and additional orders. Promote company s products and services within client industry. Financial Control to ensure that the project is progressing within budgeted allowances and corrective action is taken timeously in respect of overspends and/or deviations from scope. Ensure that any claims to be made against the client as well as sub-contractors are timeously produced in conjunction with the Project Team. Ensure all end of job documentation has been prepared and signed for issue to the Client. Have a close out meeting with the Client to ensure that no outstanding issues are still to be actioned. Ensure implementation and compliance of Contract terms and conditions. Must comply with all company policies and procedures. Ability to work under pressure. Will be required to do work within your abilities from time to time that is outside the Job Description as detailed above 7 Years relevant experience A working and proven knowledge of the Construction/Civil industry Proven ability to communicate effectively with the client as well as with site management personnel. knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management Proven experience in strategic planning Proven experience in risk management Relevant industry related qualification for example: Construction Management and/or Project Management. Job requires analysing information and using logic. Commercially astute and an in depth knowledge and application of commercial law and dispute resolution.
