Faculty of Arts Faculty Officer The Faculty of Arts at the University of the Western Cape produces graduates of the highest calibre. The Faculty Office plays a key role in providing administrative support for the academic programme. We are seeking a self-motivated committed competent suitably qualified and experienced Faculty Officer. For this position involving challenging administrative work you will need: a 3-year degree or equivalent qualification supplemented by at least 3 years administrative experience gained within a tertiary institution the ability to work under pressure proven abilities in planning and organising administrative tasks excellent communicative and interpersonal skills especially in dealing with academic staff and students familiarity with admission and promotion rules. Duties and Responsibilities; 1. Capacitate sector specialists and ISDFs on completion of; WSP/ ATR; Discretionary grants application; Capacitate training providers on SMS syste. 2. Visit companies in order to help them complete and submit WSPs/ ATR; 3. Capacitate employers training providers service providers with skills development processes; 4. Coordination of all regional projects; 5. Authenticate and approve completed WSPs/ ATRs on the SMS on or before the due date; 6. Conduct monitoring and verification visits on all relevant projects; 7. Evaluate verify and submit final recommendation for discretionary grants to the team leader or regional manager as per funding window requirements by due date; 8. Verification and submission of final documents for various projects to Head Office through the Team leader or Regional manager; 9. Implement leanerships and skills programmes within the region; 10. Participate in the planning of regional activities; 11. Assist other regions with monitoring and verifications; 12. Increasing and maintenance of stakeholder relations; 13. Attend to allocated regional activities i.e exhibitions regional workshops skills development forums; 14. Coordination of bimonthly stakeholder forums; 15. Monthly progress meetings with stakeholders; 16. Feedback reports to the Team leader or Regional Manager on a regular basis; 17. Ensure compliance with PFMA SCM and all other relevant legislation; 18. Implement marketing and communications initiative in the region 19. Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits; 20. Facilitation in the process of external moderation 21. Implementation of non sponsored learning programmes. Knowledge Skills Abilities and Attributes: 1. Computer literacy (Proficiency in MS Office); 2. In depth knowledge of the W & R Sector (Wholesale and Retail) 3.
