Stronghold Hinged Fire Doors

Manufactured to SABS 1253:1994 and stringently tested by SABS over the years with a proven fire protection rate of two and a half hours. Constructed with an inner Monolithic, Asbestos Free, Fire Resistant Core.

ADVANTAGES OVER TRADITIONAL DOORS

• Stronghold fire doors are lightweight, weighing only 35kg per standard size (W813 x H2032) panel which
  makes it easier to carry, load and install.
• Fire doors are manufactured to your required size with various veneer finishes to match existing surfaces which
  are aesthetically pleasing and ideal for any environment.
• Frames can be manufacture to suit all wall requirements including existing wall openings and partitions.
• Our fire doors are supplied with a purpose made 1.6mm or 2mm steel frame and a 25mm rebate.
• The fire doors are hinged to meet your requirements, one and a half standard brass hinges, antitheft hinges or
   continuous hinges.
• Our fire doors have reinforced steel inserts strategically located within the core material to strengthen hinging
  and hydraulic closure attachments. Additional steel preps can be inserted for panic hardware.

Hinged Fire Doors

Stronghold Sliding Fire Doors

Stronghold sliding fire doors are manufactured strictly in accordance to SANS 1253:2003 edition 3 specifications for fire doors and fire shutters and will provide a rating of 2 hours. Their flush-faced appearance and slim-line construction make them an ideal solution for openings where head-room restrictions, prohibit other type of doors. They can be designed to blend in with the surrounding structure or even used as a feature due to their versatility of panel design - stainless steel and factory finished door leafs are available.

STANDARD SPECIFICATION

Door leafs
The door leafs are Constructed with an inner Monolithic, Asbestos Free, Fire Resistant Core. Overall panel thickness is 44mm.

Tracks
The doors are suspended from a sliding gear top track by ball bearing pulleys and the track is fixed to the structure by means of fabricated steel track brackets. No bottom track is needed however; guides are installed to keep the door in line on closing. The tracks vary to suit installation requirements and are customized according to the size of the door.

Pelmet and Protective Casing
A peripheral mild steel pelmet is available which is most suited for areas where dust particles accumulate and the tracks require additional protection from dust build-up. Casings for the weights are highly recommended as they create a shaft for free movement and further prevent tampering of weights which could result in serious injury. Pelmets and weight casings also ensure an aesthetically pleasing finish.
