Please Note this is a 36-month contract. Key result areas : The successful candidate will be responsible to develop implement and manage the supplier performance monitoring and contract management within the Supply Chain Section which includes but is not limited to: Secretariat Services: Arranging all meetings including logistical requirements Recording of meetings and taking minutes of all decisions Quality control of all documents agendas and minutes that are distributed to Committee Members Tracking decisions taken by the Committee Archiving all documents Compiling agendas and determining meeting dates in conjunction with the Chairperson/Vice-chairperson Arranging the meeting schedule and ensuring that all meetings take place according to the agreed programme Assisting business units with the drafting and correction of memos Compiling and distributing BIDCOM meeting packs ensuring that all documents that must be tabled at BIDCOM are received prior to meeting Processing and distributing all submissions/reports together with the agenda to the Committee Members Providing written feedback of all decisions taken by the Committee. Demand and Acquisition: Distributing tender documents to prospective bidders Receiving proposals from suppliers Responding to questions that may arise during briefing session Taking minutes during briefing sessions Taking minutes during evaluation sessions Informing successful and unsuccessful bidders of the outcome Publishing the outcome of all bids in the advertised media Drafting minutes for specification committees. Qualifications: Recognized 3-year Bachelor s degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Secretarial 4 years appropriate proven experience in the field of Supply Chain Management. Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of applicable legislation such as the PFMA Treasury Regulations Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act Supply Chain Management Framework In-depth knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Supply Chain Management Practitioners Knowledge of and relevant experience in any procurement-related software packages such as ACCPAC SAP BAS or LOGIS will be an added advantage Adherence to stipulations of the National Archives of South Africa Act 1996 (Act No 43 of 1996) Computer literacy that includes a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
