Responsibilities: 1. Testing and Quality Assurance - Documentation of UAT Test Scenarios Test Cases and Test Scripts - Definition and preparation of Test Data - Identification and analysis of defects - Report to the Test Manager results test metrics etc - Provide training/support to the Regional Test Representatives for all applications and services when required and during regional test cycles. - The QA/Test Analyst will be required to execute a range of manual testing 2. Documentation - Work with Test Manger Product Owner and teams to develop field trial/UAT testing plan as part of UAT deliverables - Draft Daily field trial reports - Contribute towards the development of field trial documentation - Input to Weekly Management Summary documents 3. Team Work - Work with business analysts subject matter experts and developers to thoroughly validate and - Verify software systems against documented requirements. - Work as part of a Global Test Capability Team to ensure project success and individually to continuously improve testing process. - Work with Tester Manager and system engineer in identifying field trial criteria and the classification of field trial issues and observations - Communicate with the hardware software and firmware engineers with regards to the resolution of field trial issues and observations or to apply for this vacancy. QA Manager - Software Stellenbosch Performance Profile Establish Quality Assurance as an integral component of the Software Development Lifecycle and provide measurable quality improvements. Build a QA team that balances tried and tested industry practice with innovation to deliver effective and predictable quality across all products. Responsibilities: Set quality strategy & plan. Ensure product quality by executing on strategic plan within an agile environment. Produce regular quality reports demonstrating the contribution delivered. Achieve and maintain quality standards Design measure and exceed quality standards. Ensure optimal balance between quality and delivery. Demonstrate the value that quality processes add especially to the development teams. Constantly review quality process and drive further efficiencies and improvements. Utilize all quality and testing tools optimally including balancing automation versus manual testing. Represent quality to the business and other senior managers including release readiness assessments. Manage QA daily activities of staff including performance management and HR functions. Monitor QA industry and trends review applicability to ENTERSEKT and implement where appropriate Requirements: Qualifications and Experience required: Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering Computer science IS or related fields. QA specialization courses beyond the foundation levels i.e. ISTQB. 5 yrs. experience in a software quality role 2 yrs. experience in a QA management/leadership role. Demonstrated strong knowledge of software quality assurance testing processes and methodologies. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a QA team providing guidance and mentorship. Turning Vision and Direction into formal projects that are assigned to the relevant team members. Ensure team projects are run effectively and are properly planned and thought out to ensure minimum downtime and maximum performance from all systems. Where necessary assist team in growing their technical skills. Assist with design and implementation of key infrastructure projects. Proactively research new technologies. Work with other technology teams to turn ideas and challenges into infrastructure solutions and implement as required. Continuously seek to improve infrastructure questioning current design and processes.
