Branch Manager: Jetpark / General Manager

To oversee all aspects of administration and daily operations within the company. Responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of work and administration between departments resolving interdepartmental conflicts and efficiently maintaining the daily operations of the Jetpark Branch including that of procurement costing warehousing sales customer service staffing IT and security in accordance with the goals and company objectives as set by the Managing Director and/or Executive board. To practice transparency in leadership & supervision and follow up on all day to day operations between departments and provide effective communication between all parties and as necessary. To participate in all EXCO and Financial meetings to implement and chair monthly management meetings. To provide a high level of professionalism with all external and internal contacts. To develop strategic systems as necessary in order to enhance efficiency within the organization. To oversee various projects until completion. To provide a monthly report to the Managing Director on all aspects of the above for high level support. Recruiting selecting orienting training assigning scheduling coaching counseling and disciplining employees on a professional level & as necessary; communicating job expectations; planning monitoring & appraising through effective performance management & guiding management & staff in the delivery of key projects through innovative contemporary yet transparent leadership. Identify manage & lead continuous improvement/refinement of all processes for strategic planning & performance management policies practices & systems to ensure they remain effective comply within ISO standards in response to changing circumstances and support the management of the organization. Personally adhere to all company policies procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated & implemented within the company. Develop reporting frameworks & systems that support the MD in planning decision making in risk & business management. Provide constructive feedback with proposed plans to initiate corrective measures; dealing with conflicting agendas of stakeholders & negotiating agreed priorities & effective solutions and implementation thereof. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks keeping abreast of current & emerging technologies process & best practice in planning performance management & applying these techniques to provide a quality service to the customer and to the organization. To accomplish organizational goals & objectives by accepting ownership & assisting the organization in the financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; monitoring expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions where necessary and maintaining accurate records of same. To enhance new & existing business relationships & opportunities with vision; recommend products; identifying new product opportunities packaging and service changes; surveying consumer needs & trends and tracking of competitors. Relevant Tertiary qualifications i.e. B.COM / MBA Superior strategic thinking & experience in leading & performance management of staff Minimum 5 years national sales management experience Must have managed a staff compliment of at least 100 people Working knowledge of the SAP system; advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of principles of General Business Management. Knowledge of ISO quality procedures. Excellent management and people skills (strategic management style) High level analytical & problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills at executive level. Agreed customer call plans are adhered to in order to maintain efficient and effective call rates and to identify and meet customer needs. Efficient turn-around of customer job tyres (retreads) is co-ordinate to meet customer needs. Professional image is maintained in all interaction with customers and suppliers and that they are treated with respect and dignity. Agreed sales targets are achieved. Assistance is provided in handling invoice queries and debt collection of own allocated customers. Develop knowledge of all products and services being offered by Use all opportunities to sell additional products and services. Develop full understanding of the customer Charter and promote the commitments in interactions with customers. Accurate quoting selling and customer service is provided to retail and corporate customers. Monthly reports be received in time by customers (Surveying Reports). Feedback on customer needs is provided to the Business Manager to ensure optimal stock mix. Requirements for consumables are monitored and reported to the Business Manager to ensure sufficient supply of consumables. Claims are efficiently processed in consultation with the Business Manager. Sales documentation for allocated accounts are checked for completion and accuracy to ensure customer needs and standards and procedures are met e.g. order numbers vehicle registration numbers and any other customer specific invoicing requirements. Care and maintenance of vehicles machinery and equipment is ensured. Laid down Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times and any unsafe practices and equipment is reported to management. Assist with weekly and/or monthly stock takes (after hours if necessary). Ensure that all aspects of agreed Service Level Agreement is adhered to at all times. General housekeeping and tidiness is applied to own workspace area. Dormant accounts are identified and secured. New accounts are identified and secured. Check and action Receipted Jobs weekly. Attend to customer surveys over weekends or whenever requested by customer. Compile customer Urgent Attention Report after completion of survey. Compile Scrap Analysis Report weekly. Perform Pressure Maintenance at customers as per agreed Service Level Agreement. P.O.D. s are checked and handed in weekly. Adhere to company Policies and Procedures. Own abilities and expertise are continuously developed. Behaviour which leads to effective performance is identified and developed. Develop understanding of own contribution to business efficiency. Clarify own job requirements and performance standards with Business Manager. Identify and communicate training and development needs. Identify additional responsibilities which could be undertaken as a result of new knowledge and skills subsequent to training and development courses Grade 12 (Matric) IMM diploma would be an advantage Good interpersonal skills and assertive negotiator at Management level. Effective selling and negotiating skills. Good communication skills in both official languages (English & Afrikaans). African language would be advantageous. Ability to work independently as a self-starter within the team. A passion to succeed in a challenging environment.
