BSc / BTech or similar Must have 15 years Mining experience ( Construction/Mining ) Must be willing to do Site Trips Salary : R1 0000 000 per annum (Tax Free Benefit) other additional benefits paid by the company 8 weeks on 2 weeks off 5 Years period commencing 1 st June 2013 Extensive in depth and current understanding/experience of NEC3 - Give details regarding your NEC3 Contracts (full details) Pre-Contract Stage : Development of Expression of Interest (EOI) Documents (agree scope and EOI submission requirements with Package Engineer) Issue of EOI to the market place and managing queries from potential tenderers Receipt of submission documents and completed Adjudication and Recommendation thereof for signature by the applicable authorised individuals Develop Bidders Lists for approval Development of Tender Documents in accordance with CIDB and NEC3 requirements items to be considered are tender conditions payment mechanisms CIDB Quality criteria and how it influence the key drivers of the specific contract consolidation of technical and commercial requirements scheduling and the impact on contractual conditions etc. Management of queries from Bidders during the tender stage With the Package Engineer leading the effort in adjudicating the tender submissions and finalisation of the Adjudication Report Throughout the Pre Contract Stage focus and drive the deliverables required from the Quantity Surveyors in developing the Pricing Schedules (Bills of Quantities) for tender purposes estimating the costs of tenders financial tender adjudication etc Post-Contract Stage : Development of Contract Document inclusive of updating of pricing schedules scope of work schedules etc. representative of the final recommendation and acceptance by the client General Contract Administration activities such as: Contractual change control (cost and time) Financial Reporting Payment Certification Development and implementation of Compensation Events Amendments etc. Guarantee management Re-measurement of work executed Updating award values payments and changes onto applicable systems (iPAS PC and iPAS DM) Progress Meetings Ensuring compliance to other contractual requirements Throughout the Post Contract Stage focus and drive the deliverables required from the Quantity Surveyors in re-measuring actual work executed on site measuring variations on drawings issued escalation forecasts developing final accounts etc Commercial close-out Issue of completion certificates Final Payments Release of guarantees Agree Final Accounts with Contractors/Suppliers Close-out of budgeted allowances Ensuring the finalisation of hard and electronic copies of filing Expediting contractual deliverables by the Contractor/Supplier Release of retention General Comments : A Senior Contract Manager will be given major construction contracts to manage and will be responsible to lead a team of junior Contract Administrators Quantity Surveyors and Procurement Assistant All activities must comply to the Project Procedures or to apply for this vacancy.
