A leading world-class healthcare company seeks to employ a Country Manager to develop implement and manage Purchasing Strategies for Raw material Packaging material Indirect and Third Party categories of expenditure to ensure savings targets are met as well as risk is minimized. Education and Experience Required: Purchasing Diploma / Degree from a recognized learning institution. Strong Financial skills supported by qualification. Min 5 years experience and exposure to purchasing in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment in a management position. Exposure to general procurement and cost management essential. Exposure to Cost reduction methodologies. Computer literacy: MS Office and Knowledge of BPCS Oracle or similar system. The applicant will be responsible for: Develop strategies for each category of spend to achieve cost savings targets and reduce risk. Manage specific projects for the group. Manage 5 purchasing managers 3 indirect buyers and 1 administrator. Manage Continuous improvement for the business. Set cost standards. Ensure that system (BPCS/Oracle) pricing is maintained. Minimize risk by ensuring alternative sources of supply are available for key materials. Monitor and report on price variances. Manage the purchasing element of the BEE scorecard- compile final reports manage audit process. Support the NPD and new business processes. Support stock reduction and efficiency improvement drives through the plants.
