Category Management Location Durban Kwazulu Natal ( Durban Central ) Contract Full Time Pay R450 000 per annum Listed Jan 10 2013 Expires Mar 11 2013 Functions / responsibilities: The conducting of audits investigations system reviews process reviews and projects across various brands with specific focus on Head Office Audits (including Finance); Providing a risk oriented but practical review of control and advising on significant ways to improve control and processes; Performing assignments from beginning to end with the necessary supervision (identification of risks controls weaknesses recommendations best practices sampling reporting etc.); Compliance with the Institute of Internal Audit Standards after suitable training; Ensure adherence and compliance to prescribed internal controls procedures and policies; Perform work as outlined in a predetermined audit plan and to ensure that deadlines are met; Ensure the timeous collation of audit file and distribution of the audit report; and Exercise a Value for money audit approach and to contribute to ongoing improvements to Standards Business Processes and Audit approach. Requirements: A minimum of 2 years service in your current position/department in order to be eligible to apply. Retail/ Wholesale Financial experience will be advantageous; A business degree in accounting or commerce; Previous Finance and Head Office auditing exposure The position will require that you be a self starter; You must be able to demonstrate through previous achievements that you are of superior potential are proactive and that you possess an inquisitive demeanour; Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines; Strong computer literacy ability to use Microsoft Office and other relevant Software products; Motivated enthusiastic individual who can communicate with all levels of staff and management; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a professional image at all times; The ability to reason; Disciplined and systematic; Flexibility and capability of performing assignments across a diversity of environments; Must have the ability to provide feedback & compile reports pertaining to audit results; Must have an understanding for what constitutes risk; Must have good report writing skills; Must have a valid driver s licence a vehicle that is in good working order and a passport; The ability to work alone or in a team; Ability to work under pressure with constant accuracy and attention to detail; Must be trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality; and Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates.
