Escalate to the manager and provide all the required information to allow logging of the Risk and Loss events. Participate in the investigations On a weekly basis remind the team of their compliance requirements. If any team member does not understand their obligations highlight to the manager to arrange briefings by the Compliance Officer Draw the monthly SAP compliance training reports. Schedule new employees for compliance training within the prescribed timelines and do not allow employees to work until they have completed pre-requisite compliance training Explain the requirements for Business Continuity to team members nominate team members to participate in BCM Tests Develop a high performing team of Collections Officers by embedding formal performance development according to the Performance Development (PD) process and informal coaching Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed. Responsible for taking all assets forming part of the trust into possession and to invest and administer these to the optimal benefit of the beneficiaries within the parameters of the Trust document and legislation. Key Responsibilities Keep abreast of knowledge and skills relevant to the area of work Prepare letter to register as a taxpayer to the South African Revenue Services Prepare documentation needed to provide security to the Master of the High Court Prepare the Acceptance of Trusteeship according to the Master of the High Court s requirements Arrange insurance on fixed properties according to the replacement value of property and ensure annual payments of the premiums trust Ensure proper transfer of assets into the name of the trust and arrange insurance to minimise risk for company Trust or Trustees Evaluate requests received from clients according to the guidelines in the Trust manual and prepare recommendation Ensure liquidity of funds and timeously arrange for investments to be realised liaising with investment managers Calculate the fees to be taken and give instructions to the administration department for collection of fees to which the company is entitled Interact with walk-in and telephone clients to discuss matters relating to their trust Create investment proposals for New Funds received using the Latest Investment model Review existing investment compositions of trusts under administration ensuring compliance and optimal investments Check risk reports on a monthly basis for discrepancies Indicate reasons for discrepancies and correction measures on reports Check accuracy of the financial statements and make amendments as required Verify that the year end statements were mailed to entitled beneficiaries Verify that the annual IT12TR returns for all the Trusts under administration were submitted to SARS on or before the due date Submit the bi-annual Provisional Tax returns for all the Trusts under administration on or before the relevant due dates Competencies Deciding and initiating action Working with people Adhering to principles and values Analysing Planning and organising Delivering results and meeting customer expectations Following instructions and procedures Coping with pressure and setbacks General The appointment will be made in line with the Divisional Employment Equity strategy
