Rig Chief Mechanic

Bambelela Resource Optimisation Rig Chief Mechanic Position: Rief Chief Mechanic Location: Kazakhstan Onshore Duration: 12 months renewable Rotation: 28/28 Working days/hours:7 days per week / 12 hours per day Experience as Rig Chief Mechanic on Drilling projects ESSENTIAL Role Description Mission Ensure the correct operation of machineries within the drilling area through co-ordination of maintenance personnel in compliance with superior instructions ensuring the respect of Quality and HSE procedures and practices Tasks Perform routine maintenance controls of the mechanical equipment and devices of the rig and provide for preventive routine and non routine maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines pumps compressors and drilling related equipment of the rig in accordance with superior instructions Monitor and prevent oil spills from hydraulic operated equipment power and subsea related equipment as well as drilling mechanical related equipment and repair the equipment immediately in accordance with superior instructions Ensure that all orders and instructions received verbally or in writing are fully understood and adhered to Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started a proper risk evaluation is carried out precautions are taken and the work permit is signed Be well-informed about all relevant work and safety procedures issued by the company and by the Operator applying them and promoting their implementation Use compulsory protective equipment and be safety minded during day-to-day work Attend safety meetings and conduct special safety meetings with mechanic crew whenever necessary Carry out his duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan when needed Promptly report any safety hazard accident near-miss accident and non-conformance through proper channels Ensure good housekeeping in his/her working area Date: 15 May 2013 City/Town: Cape Town Location: Abroad Wage/Salary: USD 320 p/d Start: asap Duration: 12 months renewable contract Type: Part Time How to apply: Send cv s via e-mail Company: Bambelela Resource Optimisation Contact: Marelize Erlank Phone: 021 556 8713 Fax: Email: Eligibility note: It is unlawful to employ a person who does not have permission to live and work in South Africa.
