? Oversee moving of rigs onto site set up and dismantle them. ? Supervise and ensure accurate drill positions set angles and depths. ? Facilitate and follow up required land and other permits from responsible agencies. ? Liaise with utility workers on site before drilling commences. ? Manage and administer drilling operations. ? Monitor equipment and progress throughout operation. ? Make sure that secondary equipments such as pumps (air and mud) and equipment are properly operated to prevent and correct problems. ? Record performance details and take drill core samples. ? Carry out minor maintenance and repairs. ? Advise/assist unit manager on the necessary requirements to improve the efficiency of the team. ? Manage all the equipment and accessories of the drilling workshop. Key Personal Attributes: ? Should be well organised and be able to work with precision; systematic and punctual. ? Ability to work under remote and difficult areas. ? Ability to relate to members of a team and work within a team setting. ? Must be physically fit e.g. ability to handle heavy equipments and machinery. ? Attention to details and ability to record details accurately. ? Strict adherence to operation procedures. ? Flexibility towards changes in priorities as determined by the supervisor/ project manager. ? Should have good self-discipline and strong sense of responsibility. Qualifications and experience: ? Diploma and at least 10 years experience or ? Matric with at least 15 years experience. ? Familiarity with air percussion reverse circulation diamond and air flush core drilling will be an advantage. ? Valid Drivers License (code 14 would be an advantage).
