Provide functional SAP support for customer requests (problems and small enhancements) within agreed schedules through analysis configuration testing and training of system modules. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Inbound integration of IS Retail with POS and PI from various POS systems. Inbound integration of data including Sales Tender Discount Totals. POS integration with related modules including SAP ERP BI and PI SAP F&R Sybase and other third party systems. Responsible for managing any new developments in Inbound and Outbound Processing. Responsible for scheduling POSDM processing tasks to maximise efficiency during the day (trickle feed) and night (batch) sessions. Scheduling night shifts and ensuring sufficient staff coverage and support over holidays. Monitor testing schedules and ensure that POSDM is included in all end-to-end testing of new functionality. Highlight issues identified by POSDM processes and effectively present these to management in order that update processes are put in place to correct and prevent issues that result in data loss. Provide second level incident support to the business by analysing and clarifying the issue and resolving issues within the agreed service level agreement (SLA) Verify requests for enhancements from the business and present requests to the Business Process Owners (BPO) for approval Configure approved system changes or enhancements in SAP POSDM modules Document or update functional specifications for system developments to be done and work with developer on requirements Test system configuration changes or development changes and ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) where required Escalate issues timeously to third level support when a solution is not forthcoming Ensures business compliance to processes and procedures Monitor active processes i.e. daily batch jobs in the system Establish the cause of repeated incidents and recommend resolutions or procedural process changes to relevant stakeholders Share resolution knowledge and experience with team and provide training and mentoring to team members where required Ensure consistency completeness and clarity of own deliverables and their acceptance Ensure alignment across SAP modules and non-SAP systems Communicate and follow-up with the customer as to the outcome of their request Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Matric / Grade 12 Computer literate: MS Office Minimum of 1 year SAP POSDM experience Minimum of 1 year working on medium to high profile projects or tasks Exposure to a customer service environment Desirable: Experience in a retail environment Knowledge of POS support Ability to identify problems and design solutions within SAP POSDM Knowledge of Middleware SAP PI and integration with non-SAP systems An understanding of Retail data flow and the importance of accurate data delivered from and to all systems timeously. Knowledge in Trickle feed inbound processing as well as batch processing. Good communication analytical and presentation skills.
