Leading retailer has a vacancy for a Business Analyst to provide the Business with performance management information that is aligned with the company wide financial goals and balanced scorecard. To ensure that there is financial integrity across the financials systems and to provide business with effective reliable and timely financial information for management strategic operational and financial reporting. Job description: Providing input into the financial strategy Providing input into finance policies principles and procedures Developing operating plans for a finance process work stream Continuously identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes and ensure these are incorporated into finance process team plans Work shopping complex processes and business with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and communicate finance s business requirement across multiple departments/divisions Ensuring that finance processes are incorporated into the design and documentation of cross-functional business processes Responsible for the design development testing of enterprise wide financial information delivery Builds complex business models to provide information to key stakeholders around forecasting budgeting variance analysis branch profitability segmental analysis balance scrorecard and ad-hoc reporting. Managing the financial data integrity checking process and issue resolution Managing the financial data integrity of the reporting environment Managing the non-financial data integrity received from multiple business sources Working with a business project manager to ensure that finances objectives are implemented as part of the business project Responsible for project managing financial process system enhancements and resolution of system defects Analysing process changes risks and impacts and facilitating communication thereof Developing key messages around changes and managing expectations with key stakeholders Developing effective and efficient testing plans the co-ordination of testing and the evaluation of tests results Responsible for feedback on status reporting issues and risks Interacting with ITS to facilitate systems development and issue resolution Co-ordinate the development of training material and reviewing thereof Pro-active involvement on the implementation of system enhancements and defect changes Lead a diverse specialist team to effectively deliver project and work plans within time and on budget NB: This is not an IT Business Analyst.
