Overall Purpose of the Job: To provide professional workstation and infrastructure support services to the Innovation Group and their clients. Perform support tasks allocated to the Technical Team. Provide assistance to other teams in the Support IT department. To provide afterhours support when required. Key responsibilities: Responsible for Asset management by following the asset management process perform audits as arranged by team leader. Successful completion of helpdesk requests which will be monitored periodically. Updating clients on but not limited to helpdesk fault reporting clearing and response on emails. Responsible for monthly maintenance of all IT equipments in on all floors and remote clients. Responsible for monthly updating and creating new policies procedures and how-to documentation. Handing documentation in on time and providing feedback to Managers on requested information within the time allocated. Applicant Must: Have Matric plus A Certificate Be N Certified An MCITP qualification will be an added advantage Have a valid Code 8 Drivers license A minimum of 5 years technical experience on printer and computer hardware. A minimum of 5 years experience with Microsoft products (Windows XP Vista Windows 7 Office Word and Excel) Skills and Behavioural Attributes: Well established computer skills and knowledge Time Management Ability to manage your own time and work under pressure. Qualifications / Experience: The candidate will need to reside in the Kuruman / Kathu Area. Qualification with N3 mechanical as a pre-requisite. A minimum of 5 years experience in technical field in the mining industry (experience in Lubrication will be an advantage). Must have good analytical and communication skills and be able to communicate on multiple levels. Must have a valid driver s license. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated. Must have basic computer knowledge (MS Word Excel and Power Point). Preference will be given to a suitably qualified and experienced BEE candidate in line with companies BEE policy.
