Our client is one of the most successful outbound call centre operations in South Africa. They have been established for 20 years and during this period have achieved astonishing growth! They currently employ between 600 - 800 call centre agents that are focused on the sales on insurance products that require no pre-qualification. Whilst high staff turnover is a feature of the industry sector their staff turnover is significantly lower than industry levels. Nevertheless the staff turnover levels mean a constant influx of new sales staff into the business. These staff all need to be trained. In addition there is a need for ongoing training and development of current staff - call centre management and support staff. They view training and development of staff as a mission critical activity! They are looking for a Training Manager whose specific role will be to plan organise and control training operations. This will be achieved through undertaking needs assessments across the organisation to ensure that staff competencies align with the strategic organisation needs. The incumbent will need to coordinate training programs to ensure a positive learning environment is created. They will need to implement a QA programmes to ensure that all training complies with legislative requirements and that training programmes are accredited and remain so. They will need to develop training programmes and produce training material. They will also need to plan organise and control moderation and assessment strategies as well as fulfill the role of primary moderator. Candidates for this role should be degreed ideally at Master s level in a related area.
