Software Development Engineer

A dynamic global software company has a vacancy for a Software Development Engineer to join their development team to work on different green field projects including customer facing applications. My client has a need for a software development engineer who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Suitable candidate will be responsible for: Developing software services that are designed to adapt to evolving businesses of company while improving customer experience as well as quality and productivity of operations teams. Developing a platform that will provide the opportunity to contribute to complete vertical stack of an SOA based system which is horizontally connected to most systems in the larger company ecosystem. Areas include business intelligence web service implementation database design web based applications UI design and usability and accessibility optimization. Building relationships with existing and potential internal customers to understand their individual requirements and demonstrate how products can add value to their business. Developers in this position will use a variety of mainstream and open source technologies like Java C Linux Perl JavaScript Oracle as well as in-house company technologies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; The technical skills required for this role include 3-5 years of object-oriented design and programming in Java or C ; Experience building scalable applications with focus on application design and optimization memory/cpu/network usage; 3 years experience with web based technologies is essential. These may include HTTP Javascript JSON AJAX Apache Tomcat; Experience working pragmatically under deadlines with operational software is highly desired.
