Job Advert Overview Our Client is a specialist financial services company that provides clients with a direct connection to loans and insurance. They have an exciting career opportunity that has become available for a Business Analyst (BA). The BA works alongside the IT Business Partner supporting an area of the business and its related IT products/ solutions. At times the Business Analyst (BA) may act as a Proxy for the IT Business Partner. Whilst the IT Business Partner has more of a helicopter view of what is happening the BA gets into the details of the project/ enhancements breaking down the project/ enhancement into user stories and where necessary specifying non-functional and reporting requirements. The BA gathers captures documents and communicates information from Subject Matter Experts (SME) to the rest of the team responsible for constructing the solution. The BA documents all required artefacts. When the Development Team are working on user stories that have been written by the Business Analyst the Business Analyst will work within the development team to answer any questions and to ensure that what is developed meets the requirements of the business. Requirements - A relevant Business Degree or Diploma (Advantage) - Proven exposure to Scrum Methodology (Advantage) - Business Analyst Diploma Experience - Minimum of 3 years business analysis experience - Ability to solve business problems and understand a complex solution and translate into high level generic requirements - Experience developing complex integrated applications and/or data integrations - Ability to transform business requirements into a workable design at a functional level - Financial services domain knowledge in retail banking - Experience with Agile software development concepts and Scrum an advantage - Facilitation experience for conducting user design and review sessions and running stakeholder agreement meetings Duties & Roles Requirements Analysis: - Define the scope of analysis work to be done - Information Gathering from all stakeholders - Determination/ calculation of business value - Complete/ amend process models for current projects - Create wire frames where required - Write user stories - Define user acceptance criteria Support the sprint teams: - Attend daily scrum and answer questions from team members - Participate in daily conversations with team members to clarify product vision and priorities. - Mentor team members to grow in analysis competency and domain knowledge - Contribute to the knowledge management repositories on each development increment in the areas of: o Domain knowledge o Design standards - Identify process improvement opportunities within Scrum Process Solution Deploy: - Determination of requirements for Organizational readiness (e.g. Training structure support) - Definition of acceptance criteria - Definition of corrective actions (Bug list) - Post project review Documentation: - Maintain a reference document throughout the life cycle of a project/ enhancement so that there is a complete history of the project/ enhancement once it is completed Should you be the successful candidate / s please note that a 12 month restraint of trade and an 8 week notice period will apply to this role.
