Business Analyst - Information Technology (IT Human Resources)

Job Advert Overview Our Client is a specialist financial services company The BA works alongside the IT Business Partner supporting an area of the business and its related IT products/ solutions. At times the Business Analyst (BA) may act as a Proxy for the IT Business Partner. Whilst the IT Business Partner has more of a helicopter view of what is happening the BA gets into the details of the project/ enhancements breaking down the project/ enhancement into user stories and where necessary specifying non-functional and reporting requirements. The BA gathers captures documents and communicates information from Subject Matter Experts (SME) to the rest of the team responsible for constructing the solution. The BA documents all required artefacts. When the Development Team are working on user stories that have been written by the Business Analyst the Business Analyst will work within the development team to answer any questions and to ensure that what is developed meets the requirements of the business. Requirements - A relevant Business Degree or Diploma (Advantage)- Proven exposure to Scrum Methodology (Advantage)- Business Analyst Diploma Experience - Minimum of 3 years business analysis experience- Experience developing complex integrated applications and/or data integrations- Ability to transform business requirements into a workable design at a functional level- Financial services domain knowledge in retail banking- Experience with Agile software development concepts and Scrum an advantage- Facilitation experience for conducting user design and review sessions and running stakeholder agreement meetings Duties & Roles Requirements - A relevant Business Degree or Diploma (Advantage)- Proven exposure to Scrum and Agile Methodology (Advantage)- Business Analyst Diploma Competencies / skills required:- A high level of commitment to the success of the Direct Axis business- Willingness to work outside primary capacity- Negotiation and influencing skills- Team player who is willing to deliver on organisation wide objectives- Understanding user and customer needs- Self-organising (Manage own workload and timelines) with excellent planning skills- Action orientation and delivery track record- Analytical problem solving and decision making skills- Strong verbal written presentation communication skills- Facilitation skills- Tenacious flexible and motivated- Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs- Must have a hands-on approach and a positive can do attitude- Critical and innovative thinking ability to offer innovative solutionsITHR is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
