EE Regional Manager Specialised (Legal)

Regional Manager: Specialised Legal (Credit & Risk) (R450 000 R650 000.00 CTC per annum) Leading Financial Institution based in Pretoria East is seeking the skills of a Regional Manager Specialised (Credit & Risk) to minimize bad debt provision by effectively managing the Specialized Department (Claims Court Orders Shortfall Recovery ) to rehabilitate accounts and recovering the outstanding balance and operational impairment transfer to Specialized by means of collecting outstanding amounts from insurance companies deceased estates insolvent estates recovering vehicles from clients through internal as well as external legal processes. To train develop and empower staff to manage the delinquent and non performing account portfolio of the company by utilizing cost efficient processes. Establish and maintain good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders (Clients Service providers various Departments). Minimum requirements: Qualifications: Matric Relevant B degree in Commerce or Management will be an advantage Minimum 20 years experience in the Motor Finance Industry (negotiable) Minimum 15 years supervisory experience Minimum 15 years experience in the Specialized Collections environment Minimum of 15 years Management experience Strategic direction leadership and alignment Business drivers Decision-making and Risk Management Business partnering and networking Human Resources Management Behavioural competencies: Integrity and honesty Sound judgment and emotional intelligence Influencing Decision making Professional knowledge Adaptability Change management Decisiveness Flexibility Strategic thinking People management Ability to motivate and influence people Ability to handle pressure Analytical Develop and implement agreed strategy Knowledge of relevant systems Knowledge of Credit and Risk Policies & Procedures Knowledge of all relevant Legal legislations Have a clear understanding of the company business strategy Knowledge of labour legislation Facilitation and Mediation Strong leadership skills Advance negotiation skills Proficient written and verbal communication Strategic collections abilities Computer literacy Fully bi-lingual (English and Afrikaans) Process development skills Job requirements and responsibilities: Coordinate the departmental activities to ensure synergy and value-add to the business Create and implement a culture of business-mindedness and business partnering in the area Ensure that KPA s is aligned to business needs of the company Communicate timeously to Managers appropriate information gained at meetings with Senior Management and other related meetings and to report back timeously to Head Client Service/Liaison Recovery Rates Innovation Cost Control To ensure that the quality of service in the Specialized Department are above industry norms in terms of: professionalism accuracy (first time correct) and excellent client service To ensure that recovery rates are within set goals Total outstanding rand value recovered direct & indirect recoveries Operational impairment movement direct & indirect recoveries Service provider costs (attorney/EDC cost / rand recovered ) Re-instatement off repo accounts Arrears recovered Managing of auditing reports To help develop systems workflows and processes flow and manage it effectively in the Legal Department To stay within forecasted budget manage expenses against budget to ensure that budgetary expenditure is contained within agreed budget Manage Service Provider Costs Decision making and risk management To ensure effective risk management and rehabilitation of accounts by managing: Legal management practices Compliance to Policies & Procedures Detection of Fraud attempts Demonstrate a thorough understanding of how functions interface in order to support other department s efforts and minimize the exposure to risk Be able to forecast and plan for increased workload and demand Ensuring that procedures pertaining to risk are adhered to Ensuring the department is compliant in terms of all relevant legislation Business Partnering and Networking To create professional business partnership and consulting relationship with the following divisions to ensure the credibility and success of the department through support: Support division (Finance Administration and IT) Staff Senior Management and Departments Collection Department and External Service Providers Improve the credibility knowledge of and profile of the Specialized Department across all areas of business within the company Human Resource Management Ensure the following tasks are managed to enhance human resources in the area: Appropriate delegation when on leave Building of second tier management (substitution) Employment equity Performance management (including poor performance management) Training and skills of staff Motivation levels Should you meet the minimum requirements please send your CV to: Gerhard Jansen van Vuuren Email: gerhardj@abacus.co.za EOH Recruitment Solutions
