QA Manager - Software Stellenbosch Performance Profile Establish Quality Assurance as an integral component of the Software Development Lifecycle and provide measurable quality improvements. Build a QA team that balances tried and tested industry practice with innovation to deliver effective and predictable quality across all products. Responsibilities: Set quality strategy & plan. Ensure product quality by executing on strategic plan within an agile environment. Produce regular quality reports demonstrating the contribution delivered. Achieve and maintain quality standards Design measure and exceed quality standards. Ensure optimal balance between quality and delivery. Demonstrate the value that quality processes add especially to the development teams. Constantly review quality process and drive further efficiencies and improvements. Utilize all quality and testing tools optimally including balancing automation versus manual testing. Represent quality to the business and other senior managers including release readiness assessments. Manage QA daily activities of staff including performance management and HR functions. Monitor QA industry and trends review applicability to ENTERSEKT and implement where appropriate Requirements: Qualifications and Experience required: Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering Computer science IS or related fields. QA specialization courses beyond the foundation levels i.e. ISTQB. 5 yrs. experience in a software quality role 2 yrs. experience in a QA management/leadership role. Demonstrated strong knowledge of software quality assurance testing processes and methodologies. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a QA team providing guidance and mentorship.
