Key Performance Indicators The KPI s are essential to delivery of the job requirements and the measurement of the added value you bring to the position of Logistics Executive Key Performance Indicators Logistics Executive The Logistics Executive is responsible for taking ownership of the entire warehouse functions from receipt through to goods reaching the customer; inventory control; management and development of warehouse staff; improving process efficiencies and implementing cost saving initiatives and aligning warehouse s functioning to that of the company s strategic and operational objectives. . The main goals are to: Appropriate planning of resources in warehouse to cope with inbound and outbound stock Inventory control throughout the warehouse and planning and management of inventory counts Lead and control all operational warehouse staff in accordance with the company s policies Setting up adequate training mentoring development and performance management of warehouse staff and implementation of succession plan Identification and solution of process inefficiencies and improvement of productivity Cost management of operations cost centre including implementation of cost saving initiatives Preparation and presentation of reports to management on efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse functioning in each of the sub-departments Managing the relationships and performance of the various vendors in terms of the Service Level Agreements you put in place Chair the company s OHASA committee ensuring adherence to the highest health and safety standards Liaising with IT executive to ensure efficient and accurate functioning of warehouse and adequate reporting Liaising with executive team to ensure company s strategic and operational goals are met The duties shall include but not be limited to : Ensure the accurate and timeous receipt and put-away of all receiving stock Timeous picking processing and dispatching of all approved orders Managing and implementing remedial action regarding stock losses Coordination of stock takes including recounts checking and verification of all counted stock Performance management and evaluation of direct reports and ensuring performance management and evaluation processes are implemented throughout the warehouse Ensuring the warehouse is kept neat and tidy at all times Controlling all operational staff and setting up training/additional training to empower the staff to perform their tasks in a correct manner . Develop and prepare value-added reports to assist the relevant line managers and the Operational Director to improve the operational flow in the warehouse. (c) Complete weekly manual counts and daily bank Recon checks according to policy. (d) Investigate negative stock on hand in order to reduce the negatives. (e) Manage Stock Room according to Admin policies and procedures. (f) Investigate and resolve non-scanning stock and price discrepancies (g) Liaise with Merchandise Planner to optimize stock levels. (h) Communicate to Store manager regarding stock in terms of sales trends in stores; identify top and bottom sellers. Employee Administration Management and Development (a) Control store attendance register. (b) Organise and implement Induction Orientation and staff training. (c) Prepare salary and wages data for Payroll. (d) Complete weekly rostering of permanents and part timers according to budget requirements. (e) Ordering and control of uniforms and badges. (f) Manage staff performance consistently in order to meet optimal operating requirements. (g) Implement disciplinary procedure and labour practice in consultation with your Regional and HR Customer Service: (a) Actively build relationships with customers in order to increase turnover. (b) Manage and implement customer care in accordance with company policy. (c) Promote and drive in-store Loyalty Programme. Security and Shrinkage: (a) Oversee and implement safety checks in accordance with company policy and procedures. (b) Adhere to OHASA regulations. (c) Manage shrinkage levels to within the company targeted ratio. (d) Implement policies and procedures in order to minimize stock loss.
