The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving the branches sales objectives through promotion and associated products in designated sales areas servicing a variety of customers in various industry sectors that include mining government and general industry. The individual must work to establish new customers whilst maintaining existing clients through the provision of product information engineering solutions and service levels which meet customers valid requirements. The Sales Representative builds strategic relationships with consultants contractors and business managers to maximize sales opportunities and to promote after sales service in the areas of spare parts hire and service. Responsibilities: Applies an aggressive sales plan formulated in conjunction with the Branch Manager to achieve sales profits and growth budgets. Carries out sales visits to customers in accordance with the sales plan and provides advice/support to customers on a range of products attempting to match customer needs with engineered solutions.Promotes service spare parts hire and contract functions.Analyses sources of tender information and future construction projects and follows up on leads.Prepares sales orders reports and paperwork to satisfy branch and customer requirements.Provides input to the Branch/Regional team attends Branch/Regional Sales meetings and completes written and verbal reports as required by Branch/Regional Manager or Senior Corporate staff.Ensures all pricing policies are followed and ensures compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance policies and procedures.Prepares mail outs for new product information and updates.Other duties as required/determined to assist functionality of the branch.
