Professional Assistant - Civil Polokwane Justice Centre Salary: R341 757 per annum (plus benefits) (Ref. POUC 01/05/13) Applications are invited from persons interested to Fill the above mentioned position at Polokwane: JC. Applicants must be admitted Attorneys or Advocates. The incumbent will he appointed on a permanent basis . Key outputs: Provide civil legal aid to the poor in the coverage area of the unit Handle complex civil matters Supervise and guide Civil Candidate Attorneys and Paralegals Assist in providing support and assistance to civil sections of justice Centres in the designated cluster Represent women children and the vulnerable and landless people in all civil matters Perform office administration Competencies (skills knowledge and attributes) required: Admitted Attorney/Advocate the latter must have completed pupilage successfully at an institution recognised by Legal Aid SA) v LLB or BProc degree v At least 7 years post qualification legal experience with a minimum of 5 years postarlmission civil experience Right of appearance in the High Court - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical ability Team player Self-development orientation - Valid driver s licence IS an advantage.
