SciStaff Research Clinician (K136) Description: An HIV/AIDS Research center seeks to employ a Research Clinician to join its research team. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated well-organized individual with attention to detail and keen on being part of the effort to make a scientific contribution to HIV treatment and prevention. Key responsibilities will include the clinical assessment of research participants including: screening for eligibility and enrolment of participants; explaining procedures (rigorous attention to the informed consent process); study visits (performing clinical evaluation for all visits); ensuring that the CRF and related documentation is thoroughly completed; laboratory (ensure that specimens are properly collected and results acted on); treatment (ensure that the participants are afforded appropriate treatment) and provide clinical support to all center-related studies and participate in all center-related activity. Key Requirements: MBChB and experience in the field of HIV/AIDS as well as a valid registration with the HPCSA as a Clinician. Remuneration: Market related. Starting date: As soon as possible. Trace and refer case contacts who are TB suspects and ensure TB testing and treatment for those diagnosed with TB. Collecting sputum specimens. Compiling and maintaining logs. Liaising with coordinators/clinic staff within the Department of Health and relevant community stakeholders. Writing reports and assisting the project managers with other tasks when needed.
