This role will report into the National Fleet & Maintenance Manager. Key Responsibilities: A clear understanding and working knowledge of the predetermined formal running of a workshop and maintenance department in the FMCG environment in which the following criteria will have to be met as well as oversee the physical execution of the respective maintenance requirements including: A hands on technical person who could assist in managing the JHB onsite maintenance workshop and Warehouse facility - Implementing a Routine planned maintenance program and maintaining it for All Buildings Warehouse MHE Vehicles and have a clear understanding for our customer needs. Draw up a maintenance schedules for Air conditioning units electrical panels DB boards vehicles and Forklifts etc. Motivate Coach and Develop maintenance staff so as to ensure that the maintenance team understands the relevant standard and principals of the company. Assist in managing the JHB site and understand our customer s needs on a national level to maintain cover plans & ensure effective deploying maintenance staff on a daily basis. Keep accurate Diesel fuel tank levels and reports. Run the maintenance department with specific detail cost saving and time keeping with the necessary care in mind Timeous completion of tasks and do critical inspection on completed tasks. Assist in promoting the company s SHE and DQA program. Also initiate own value added initiatives within the maintenance Dept and make such recommendations to the company s management Position Requirements The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a relevant technical qualification or artisan. At least 5 years practical experience. Code 08 unendorsed driver s license Be a motivated self-starter and Work with minimum supervision. Be ability to work accurate and neat under pressure Do call-outs and work overtime in limits when required. Must have own reliable transport Show mutual respect towards fellow employees and have excellent communication skills. Presentable and neat.
