Job Introduction: To provide an administrative function to the Region with specific reference to Group Policies and Procedures legislative requirements on conditions of employment and to maintain personnel records and employee benefits administration. Role Responsibility: KPA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS To provide competent advice on Main agreement of NBC on the Road Freight Industry BCEA PSIRA Act Pension and provident Fund Medical Aid Effective HR Administration New Starters Process all new starter documents as per policy (requisition contract application form etc) Provide advice on benefits offered by the company and ensure that benefits are linked by payroll Send new engagement documents to Head Office for processing Terminations Ensure that a resignation letter or dismissal letter is received Complete benefit withdrawals (pension fund and medical aid) Terminate the employee from VIP as well as from medical aid Other HR Admin Check regional salary earning analyses to ensure that is correct Oversee payslip distribution Oversee distribution of IRP5 s Ensure that requisitions and movements are authorized Generate offer letters and contracts Oversee personal file administration and ensure all documents are on file Process leave on VIP Check PSIRA registration where required and all other legislated requirement eg fire competency drivers license and PDP New starters are linked and terminated employees to be unlinked from PSIRA website Benefits Administration Effectively process Workman s Compensation Administration Process death claims effectively within the 48 hour period Effectively process disability claim forms Ensure that employees have updated beneficiary forms annually Provide advice to employees with regards to benefit changes Provides advice advise to employees going onto maternity leave and complete UI19 Advise employees of the benefits of the multi benefit scheme Employee induction Ensure that all new starters complete new starter pack on first day of employment Explain all company employee benefits to the employee and ensure that the administration is completed Arrange operational or on the job training for the new starter The Ideal Candidate: Knowledge Skills Attributes South African Labour legislation HR Policy and procedures HR systems and practices Managing Conflict Communication (written and verbal) Supporting and working with others Computer literacy Sharing and Co-operating Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure Delivering objectives Minimum qualification Grade 12 Minimum 3 years experience as HR practitioner
