Peoplefinder Cost Estimator Our client requires the services of an Cost Estimator Key performance areas: Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time cost materials and labour estimates. Assess cost effectiveness of products projects or services tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Consult with clients vendors personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss & formulate estimates and resolve issues. Confer with engineers architects owners contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning organizing and scheduling work. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. Review material and labour requirements to decide whether it is more cost effective to produce or purchase components. Prepare cost & expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project. Prepare & maintain a directory of suppliers contractors & subcontractors. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Establish & maintain tendering process and conduct negotiations. The successful candidate must have: Matric with Quantity Surveying / Project Management degree or diploma Min 5 years experience in structural plate pipe and mechanical work Computer literate Experience on CCS Candy would be advantageous Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong mathematical skills Analytical consistent and determined Must be able to work under pressure Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
