MPC Recruitment Nelspruit Business Manager JOB PROFILE: Business Manager Marble Hall - Secunda - Witbank JOB PURPOSE To deepen company s share of existing client s wallet by selling the full suite of banking products and to acquire new customers for the bank KEY STAKEHOLDERS Clients; Credit Managers; Corporate Analysts; Services Manager; Product Specialists; Area Sales Manager OUTPUTS % ROLES CORE BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES TECHNICAL/PROFICIENCY COMPETENCIES Manage and deepen bank s relationships with clients 60% Custodian of the client relationship Team leader for the CST Orchestrator of the bank s resources Client value manager Relationship building Sales and marketing Deal negotiations Networking Listening and understanding Knowledge Good understanding of all banking products and systems Broad industry and market knowledge Business acumen FAIS compliant Deepen share of the wallet through cross-selling Maximise client profitability (CVM) Manage credit risk jointly with the credit manager 5 Acquire quality new clients 20 Perform sales related administrative tasks 15 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree in Sales Marketing or Business Management or related qualification OUTPUT 1 KEY ACTIVITIES MEASUREMENT/JOB STANDARDS MANAGE AND DEEPEN BANK s relationships with clients Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of client s business and industry as well as client s personal situation Set the rules of engagement with the client for the CST Conduct relevant client visits and entertainment Orchestrate any interaction between other parties (e.g. CM product specialists) and the clients Number of clients lost (retention) Satisfaction and loyalty measures in client survey OUTPUT 2 KEY ACTIVITIES MEASUREMENT/JOB STANDARDS deepen share of the WALLET through cross-selling Proactively identify needs or react to expressed needs Develop appropriate solutions to identified financial needs Orchestrate appropriate specialist interaction with clients (e.g. complex products and processes or where legal requirements necessitates) Prepare and deliver written or verbal proposals Negotiate and conclude the deals and collect relevant documentation Handover for implementation to Services Manager Financial measures (e.g. NII NIR asset growth) Number of products sold per client Number of clients with primary banking relationships OUTPUT 3 KEY ACTIVITIES MEASUREMENT/JOB STANDARDS maximise client profitability (CVM) Make pricing decisions based on CVM perspective Tailor client service level according to his assessment of current and potential value in line with the CVM and sales process Client RAROC / ROE Client profitability (i.e. GOI less direct expenses and impairments; NPAT once transfer pricing can be allocated to client) OUTPUT 4 KEY ACTIVITIES MEASUREMENT/JOB STANDARDS MANAGE CREDIT RISK JOINTLY WITH THE CREDIT MANAGER Provide Credit Analyst with completed documentation (e.g. management accounts and relevant section of credit application containing needs analysis) Ensure comprehensive motivation for application based on own assessment and resolution of any concern raised by credit Assume responsibility for ongoing risk monitoring and management (e.g. daily excess reports) Support Credit Risk in the rehabilitation of clients % bad debts/assets Growth of assets OUTPUT 5 KEY ACTIVITIES MEASUREMENT/JOB STANDARDS Acquire quality new clients Leverage internal and external networks Identify and obtain leads for new customers Develop a strategy to approach the new client Initiate and conduct client interview and needs assessment Secure business with client to provide relationship opportunity Number of new clients Number of new clients with primary banking relationships GOI of new clients OUTPUT 6 KEY ACTIVITIES MEASUREMENT/JOB STANDARDS PERFORM SALES RELATED ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS Sales administration Maintain information on sales kit database Call reporting Complete all needed/required documentation to initiate deals Client administration Collect all relevant client information (e.g. FICA) Ensure client information database is updated Reporting (e.g. pipeline and sales reports) Budgeting and forecasting Compliance Turnaround time/rework (?)
