Purpose of position: Facilitate implementation; embed monitor and report (within the 1st Line of Defense) Operations Division s compliance to the Company s Governance Risk and Compliance framework. The secondary purposes of this role include: - Maintaining and enhancing relationship building with the assurance functions of various business units (for example Internal Audit Enterprise Risk Management Regulatory & Risk Compliance and so forth) - Assist with the facilitation and embedding of Information Security Governance and Business Continuity Management Programmes in the Company s Business Unit. Qualifications/Education: Relevant bachelor degree in Commerce Information Systems or Risk Management Professional qualification (CISA CISM) will be an advantage 3-5 years experience in audit projects compliance and risk Working knowledge of Corporate Governance codes of good practices Key Performance Areas: Facilitate the design implementation and embedding of Processes Procedures and Standards by the Operations division Provide assurance that 1st Line risk and compliance objectives are met and that internal controls are adequate and effective through tracking monitoring and reporting Contribute to the planning and rollout the implementation of a risk and compliance framework for the Operations division partnering with the Manager: Risk & Compliance Operations in response to the Company s Risk Compliance & Governance Model and Company strategy Regularly monitor and report on the Operations area compliance to Group Policies and Company Processes Procedures and Standards Escalate and find resolution for areas of non-compliance Provide risk coordination function in ensuring strategic alignment of Operations Division plans and processes to business and assist with risk identification assessments and monitoring Coordinate collect evidence monitor and report on the Operations Division governance objectives and maturity to various Operations Division and business stakeholders Communicate updates monitor and report on Operations Division risk to the Operations Division and business representatives Provide technical inputs and provide support on risk and compliance in strategic/non-strategic Operations Division projects Champion facilitate and optimize the Operations Division Standards Committee by monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of company policy standards processes and procedures Define the Operations Processes Procedures and Standards and solicit firm feedback on the annual Master Plan Identify implement and monitor Operations Division stakeholders training requirements and encourage user awareness Establish and manage relationships and enhance engagement with 2nd and 3rd line of defense assurance functions like Internal Audit and Governance (Risk Management and Regulatory Risk and Compliance) Responsible for regulatory evidence collation reporting and monitoring for the Operations function Plan and facilitate governance risk and regulatory training for the Operations function Skills & Attributes Persuading and Influencing Client Focus Relationship Management Decision Making and problem solving Strong communication skills Risk Knowledge Please forward your CV to: Celia Muregerera on celia@mandatoryplacements.com Please do not attempt to call the Branch directly as your application will not be considered if the correct application process is not followed
