Main Purpose of the job BComm or Diploma in Risk Management or equivalent Preferred Minimum Education BComm or Diploma in Risk Management or equivalent Preferred Minimum Experience Minimum requirements of a suitable qualification Minimum 5 years engineering projects experience with relevant risk and / or process management experience Additional experience within the fields of HAZOP Assurance etc is desirable Behavioural Competencies Negotiating and influencing skills Excellent communications and presentation skills to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing This means excellent written and spoken English Persistence an eye for detail and ability to complete projects and keep to deadlines (in respect of risk reporting) Initiating Action Personal organization and planning skills Technical Competencies Attention to detail Project delivery Familiarity with relevant software Key Performance Areas Task Functions: Design implement and manage an overall risk management process for application to specific engineering projects Manage the process of identifying and assessing the risks affecting the business/project environment (affecting all project lifecycle stages) Liaise with Clients Project Managers and Technical teams in the risk management activity Oversee and where appropriate areas implement the plan of risk control actions Monitor evaluate and challenge the project and organization s success in managing its risks Organize appropriate risk reporting internally and externally Use of suitable software to determine risk profiles Role may extend into support to other related fields based on candidate s experience and ability (e.g. HAZOP Assurance activities etc.) Description of Function: The purpose of risk management is to safeguard an organization its customers reputation assets and the interests of stakeholders by identifying and managing all threats to the achievement of its business objectives.
