MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To interpret and achieve strategic sales objectives with regard to the stationary market and related key accounts MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Establish and maintain a customer/supplier relationship in order to promote turnover & profitability Develop customers in accordance with customer strategy to ensure customer loyalty and to maintain market share Promote and manage good customer relationships through sound account management and negotiation skills Generate leads and canvass new accounts General Office administration and deal with queries or complaints relating to your portfolio Have sufficient understanding of customer?s business in order to segment effectively and propose best value proposition Achieve sales volume and profitability targets whilst maintaining market stability Participate in sales budget and forecasting processes Effective time management and proper planning of sales portfolio Submitting sales visit reports and movement sheets timeously Communicate effectively with other stakeholders and business units in optimizing pricing in all areas and channels Represent the company with respect to various industry related forums when necessary Assist with trade shows and customer/supplier demonstrations and conduct product training where necessary Conduct market research and surveys Liaising with merchandising agents to ensure all stores are receiving proper merchandising service QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Grade 12 minimum preferably with some marketing or sales qualification or solid background 4-5 years Sales and Marketing Experience with a minimum of 2 years in Key Account Management Proven track record of account management Experience at managing effective customer relationships Preferably from FMCG environment Knowledge of Category management a bonus Knowledge of promotions in store activity and advertising campaigns preferable Preferably good understanding of the stationary market Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills Knowledge of SAP preferable TECHNICAL & PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Excellent communication and negotiating skills Ability to interpret and achieve BU objectives Strong Customer Orientation and Customer service focus Well presented Good interpersonal and written communication skills Deadline and Result driven Self Starter Ability to work independently and as a Team Player Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to analyse accounts and trends Must be in possession of an unendorsed valid drivers license.
