MANDARIN TRANSLATOR Steel Manufacturing Industry Salary highly negotiable based on experience gained. Brief Description: A well-established global leader in the steel and mining manufacturing moving earth equipment industries within South Africa requires the above to be responsible for all verbal and written translations from English to Mandarin and from Mandarin to English. Advert Description: Well known Chemical Raw Material company requires the above to be responsible for: Verbal translations between company employees and mining personnel (customer) from English to Mandarin and from Mandarin to English. All spare parts are received from China and the company brings out Chinese engineers to work on various mining projects in SA. Written translations between company and mines including documentation reports and all paperwork from English to Mandarin and from Mandarin to English. Interpreting industrial safety regulations to Safety Engineers Labour Representatives and Safety Inspectors. Translating and/or interpreting dialogues. Will travel to the mines on occasions where the company is working on big projects. Minimum requirements for the role: Must be fluent in English/Mandarin Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English/Mandarin language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar. Valid South African drivers license. Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents in both English and Mandarin. Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively. Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Must have a technical aptitude. Computer Skills Microsoft Word Excel and Power Point. Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program write software set up functions enter data or process information.
