A fixed-term contract position exists in the Water Business Unit of the Cape Town office for a Civil Engineer/Technologist to be based in Saldanha to commence duties from March 2013 for a period of 8 months. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Responsible to manage the work activities of a team of QA Auditors and other staff related issues ensure all systems procedures check sheets and other documentation are completed accurately and verified on a daily basis and as required by QMS verify documentation on a daily basis during the shift and sign these off at the end of each shift ensure all changes to systems procedures and check sheets are communicated to the QC Manager Quality Systems to ensure that the QMS is updated and change/audit review forms are completed and signed off report deviations from standards and discuss these with QA Auditors on a daily basis amend the systems procedures and check where necessary apply technical knowledge to identify shortcomings/gaps within the QMS and recommend initiate and implement the agreed changes/amendments train production engineering and QA staff in all aspects of food safety and quality related to the process material and final product requirements Identify investigate analyze recommend and initiate changes to all problems / deviations from standard / areas of poor performance identify process improvement opportunities and recommend the necessary changes Conduct internal audits (day and night shift) of all processes) production cleaning etc.) throughout the area of responsibility investigate customer complains report back within agreed timeframes and initiate necessary changes to eliminate recurrence ensure full traceability throughout the system
