Well known Industrial Chemical Raw Materials company requires the above to be responsible for: Key account management of large existing industrial customers as well as managing a diverse portfolio of customers in different industries within the KZN area. Establish a comprehensive understanding of customers processes technologies costs environmental pressures etc leveraging knowledge to generate value-adding customer proposals. Providing current and new clients with differentiated product solutions. Identifying new opportunities with existing and new customers. Pro-actively sourcing information from industry to gain an understanding of the processes. Managing and ensuring feedback on customer related queries ensuring timeous and appropriate feedback. Ensuring profit margin levels are maintained. Analysing and identifying market trends implementing sales strategy plans to ensure organic growth and brick walling of business at senior large key accounts. Conducting regular visits to large key accounts as well as various other industrial chemical companies within KZN. Effectively implementing price increases and maintaining monthly/quarterly price lists to customers as well as negotiating and administrating sales contracts and tenders. Being involved and interacting with the Production Logistics Finance etc teams within the Group. Annual budget preparations. Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification is preferred. Previous sales experience within the Chemical / Industrial Raw Material or related industries is essential calling on manufacturing industries. Person must be a strong relationship builder and have built strong relationships with customers over the years. Ability to function as a team member under pressure. Ability to influence people at all levels being proactive showing initiative and being able to work independently. Strong negotiating skills as well being results orientated are crucial to this position. Computer literate and numerate. Commitment to and being able to adhere to SHEQ policies (Safety Health Environment and Quality).
