GENERAL MANAGER Damelin has the following vacancy based in WESTRIDGE: GENERAL MANAGER The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the regional business unit and sales force in order to achieve the annual sales budget set for the unit and to optimize branch/business unit resources as set by the Damelin Head Office. Duties: Roles and responsibilities: Oversee direct and lead the daily operations of the campus. Work closely with committees and academic boards. Implement programmes and activities to achieve business requirements. Manage the income streams & the operational expenses budget. Liaise with external agencies to ensure that the institution is in compliance with regulations. Manage and co-ordinate marketing activities at Campus level. Driving the performance of each member of the sales team on a daily weekly and monthly basis as against individual targets with a view to achieve monthly targets set for the Business unit by liaising interacting coaching recognizing superior performance and addressing substandard performance of team members. Ensuring that the Business unit/Branch recruit select assess and appoint sales and admin people as and when required adhering to the Recruitment and selection policy. Job Purpose: To effectively manage branch operations staff infrastructure and service delivery in line with the company operational framework of processes policies standards and controls to ensure customer delight Key Performance Areas (KPA S) Manage branch operations and infrastructure and ensure alignment to governance and compliance standards Ensure effective management of retail staff Drive effective service delivery to customers to ensure customer delight Manager cost control and reduce wastage related to time of subordinates company assets materials or equipment Execute marketing and sales programmes in line with company marketing sales and specifications Manage the quality and integrity of company products Input / Actions Regularly liaise with the Area Manager on Operational Plans processes and performance standards to ensure line of sight on the practices underpinning cross-functional branch processes. Stay abreast of developments in the region within shopping center the leisure/ entertainment and cinema industries to contribute toward effective operations management within company. Conduct weekly and monthly staff meetings on branch operations and document key discussion points/decisions. Take ownership and accountability for maintaining quality standards service and desired outputs within inter-related functional areas of responsibility. Ensure effective and implementation of all BPM s (Compliance) operations plans (catering marketing sales etc.) check lists quick reference guides and performance management. Coach all branches staff to identify substandard issues and what corrective action to take. Ensure that those responsible for enforcing standards and rules understand the impact of non-compliance on the Region Area branch customers and work colleagues. Conduct regular retail branch checks/ Management By Walk About (MBWA) to confirm adherence to standards (Office SST s Foyer Toilets Catering Access Control). Complete a full cinema assessment once a week. Proactively identify problems troubleshoot and apply solutions in line with guidelines provided or escalate more branch problems providing information required to solve and prevent problems. Ensure that all maintenance checks are taking place and that the maintenance plan/schedule is updated daily.
