Khomeliwa Consulting Operations Manager: Monitoring and Evaluation Pretoria R360k p/a tctc Our client is a Non-Profit organisation in the health sector with its head office in Pretoria East and they seek the services of an Operations Manager: Monitoring and Evaluation. The incumbent will report to the HOD: Technical Assistance & Strategic Information. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and oversee FPD s routine monitoring and evaluation ( M&E) and health information systems (HIS) activities in FPD s nine partnered health districts; Ensure compliance with reporting and data quality requirements for both NDoH and USG; Inform and ensure effective and coordinated implementation of FPD s Information systems strengthening strategy and related components in district work plans; Ensure effective utilisation of DOH/FPD M&E program evaluation and research resources to measure document results and inform FPD s TA and health systems strengthening; Build and maintain strategic partnerships with SAG at National and Provincial level; Ensure the availability and quality of information for evidence based decision making by FPD and district management teams in support of the District Health Systems management; Inform/support and undertake program baselines and summative and/or formative evaluations; Build human capacity in M&E and HIS and data use through training and mentorship; Project manage development of Information related training products and toolkits. EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE BSc in mathematics and /or statistics; Management qualification; Masters in Public Health and/or related discipline desirable extensive experience in health informatics. MINIMUM WORKING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 5 years working experience within the public private and/or civil society health systems within South Africa; Experience managing donor funding and substantive experience with implementing health systems strengthening activities. JOB COMPETENCIES/ ABILITIES/ SKILLS REQUIRED Prior working experience in South African health sector History of successful leadership and demonstrated management capacity Strong technical expertise in a public health-related field Strong interpersonal skills and high levels of emotional intelligence Desire and willingness to work in partnership with government officials through a teaching coaching and mentor model. Ability to meet deadlines with commitment to quality and sustainability Track record of implementing innovative and solution - orientated projects Strong financial and human resource management skills. This will include managing the appointed contract/s and the related Service Level Agreements for Hazardous Waste General Waste and Recycling. The person will also be responsible for providing integrated waste management including ad hoc requirements e.g. special events hazardous waste and recycling on the various campuses. Specific duties will include: Contract specifications and management; Quality control and supervision; Hazardous waste management; Customer services; Procurement of products material and equipment; General and financial administration; Waste recycling; Emergency response.
