Validate software products through the use of systematic tests to develop apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in validation and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Executes and provides feedback to engineers architects and product management on performance load and stress tests that determine platform and application capabilities of the end-to-end system. Interacts with Vendors Customers and internal Sales and Support organizations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Writes and executes detailed test scripts to test the functionality of the proposed system. Develops an understanding of the proposed system and creates related test plans which include testing schedules and resources required. Manages the validation test phase including executing scripts monitoring testers logging and tracking problems found and regression testing any changes made to the system. Acts as a liaison between the customer and the development team during Acceptance Testing to facilitate problem tracking and resolution. Performs regression testing as necessary before re-releasing code to the customer. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Develops executes and analyzes the output from scripts that capture application and platform performance metrics. Provides the Sales organization sizing support for potential customers requesting The Company s products on their supported hardware platforms. Perform other duties as assigned. Required: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience in software testing. 5 years of Quality Engineering and/or systems testing experience required. SQL experience required Understanding and experience with platform and operating system architecture. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Understanding of QA/testing methodologies. An attention to detail in work performed is required. Ability to assist in producing and managing a thorough test plan is required. Ability to work with a diverse group of product development QA and program staff on payments based commercial software products to meet established deadlines with high quality deliverables. Individuals are accountable for all work assigned and must meet completion dates on all assigned tasks. Some travel required domestic and/or international. Unix knowledge. Financial background (banking domain). WEB/Browser testing. Automated scripting. Related industry experience preferred.
