Inelek Holdings Foreman Mobile Equipment - Iron Ore Mine FOREMAN MOBILE EQUIPMENT - Iron Ore Mine Northern Cape Our client has been providing iron to since 1964. A succession of large-scale infrastructure projects had maximized efficiency and productivity on site which included a full washing and screening plant installed in 1975 and a jig plant to beneficiate off-grade ore which was completed in 2001. Our client was commissioned a new open cast mine. Our Client is now mainly responsible for supplying iron ore to the local South African market. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or N3; Certificate in first line management; Trade certificate as qualified Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician; N4 certificate in Engineering Studies; Minimum of three (3) years relevant trade experience; Minimum of three (3) years relevant mechanical experience within an heavy industry mining or production environment; Minimum of two (2) years management or supervisory experience; Valid code B/EB driving licence. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Computer literacy in MS Office; Knowledge of the relevant legislation with regards to Safety Trade and Industry Mining Activities and Labour; Knowledge of risk assessment disciplinary procedures lock out procedure lifting equipment various types of welding metallurgical processes engineering processes and budgeting; Skills in first aid coaching tool handling basic rigging plating developing supervision communication organising and planning; KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE INTER ALIA: Supervise and develop team members; Develop and maintain productive relations with internal and external customers; Budget and cost control; Adhere to all applicable safety health and environmental practices and procedures; Support and assist with change initiatives; Generate and implement team improvement ideas; Ensure effective and preventative maintenance management of all plant and infrastructure machines systems and equipment; Coordinate plant shutdowns; Achieve production targets trough optimum output; Ensure operational efficiency and quality; Assume responsibility for coordinating first line maintenance; Control stock levels where applicable; Conduct root cause analysis of machinery failures and regular high cost replacements; Appoint external investigators where necessary and manage investigation process; Suggest improvements or remedial action based on investigations; Analyse the effectiveness of labour utilisation; Produce procedures and processes as remedial action; Update and change maintenance system; Ad hoc any other reasonable duties as and when requested from time to time.
