HR Options Dragline Training Officer Job description The Dragline Training Officer s principal job is to provide effective on job classroom and simulator training to trainee machine operators The incumbent will have to do productivity training on current operators in the mine and transfer knowledge and skills to ensure that targets are met. HR Options Demand Planner My client is a preferred global provider of technical project and operational support services. They urgently require the services of experienced demand planners for 12 month contracts at various locations in Mphumalanga. Job Title: Outage Planner Coal fired power plant Reports to: Planning Manager Pretoria South Africa Contract Duration: 12 Months Minimum Primary Objective To proactively support assessments of outage readiness by performing reviews on outage schedule logic outage resource loaded schedules for various types of power plant scheduled outages such as; coal fired power plants peaking power stations (hydro power plants diesel power plants open cycle and close cycle power plants). Assist the Client Senior Program Manager in performing assessment on Client s readiness to perform their outages. Specific Accountabilities Perform reviews and provide comments on outage schedule logic outage activity durations outage resource loaded schedules for coal fired power plants with sizes ranging from 150 to 700 MW and peaking power stations (hydro power plants diesel power plants open cycle and close cycle power plants) Perform reviews of outage schedules Assist with site outage review meeting as request by the Worley Parsons Senior Project Manger Understand and apply the HSE procedures to ensure safety of self and other workers in the workplace Understand and apply the procedures forming the Quality Management System Responsible for implementing modifications to provide a cost effective planning service within assigned budget constraints Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems personnel and team performance Focal point for recommending training and development requirements for any subordinate planning personnel Demonstrate a high level of skill in planning business sectors of the Engineering Procurement Construction Commissioning and Project Management modification and maintenance projects using computer based planning and scheduling techniques Demonstrate Primavera Version 6 Project Planning and Microsoft Project software operating expertise Demonstrate singular major project planning skills Work directly with the customers cost and planning requirements to ensure the planning processes procedures and systems are implemented and subject to continuous improvement reviews Prepare weekly/monthly reports as required and analyse contractor s reports Schedule all HSE issues and relevant HSE plan activities Liaise with the Management Team on all relevant cost and planning issues Prepare regular status reports and forecasts for project management and customer reviews Supervise and develop other planning and specialist support staff at home and/or field office locations Maintain the current and baseline schedule analyse the effect of proposed changes and maintain the baseline change control authorisation process Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the business sector etc. Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the business sector etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
