COUNTRY HEAD /COO - CATO RIDGE DURBAN. RESPONSIBILITY: In excess of 150 staff SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Responsible for supporting the Chief Executive Officer in running the BOPP operations at Cato Ridge SA with particular emphasis on profitability and day-to-day operations leading the Senior Managers and implementing Best Practice systems and procedures that entrench performance improvement. COMPANY BACKGROUND: The Company is a brand new Packaging Film business (BOPP Film) looking to a business turnover of 65 million. The Company is a subsidiary of a large multi-national company based in India. KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: Should ideally be an Engineer with Master of Business Administration degree. A minimum of five years experience as Chief Operating Officer / Managing Director of an organisation in the packaging textiles or related sector Must have been responsible for an annual turnover of R500 million and have managed at least 100 salaried staff and a total staff complement of 200 people Should ideally have had experience in all areas of an integrated manufacturing company from production to sales and exports Strong interpersonal skills to manage suppliers and customers Thorough knowledge of domestic and global markets distribution systems customer behaviour across the South African provinces and chosen global markets IT Financial analysis Knowledge of commercial issues and schemes to be used to the benefit of the new business. KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS: Analyse operations to: Evaluate performance of the company; Ensure its staffing meets objectives by determining areas of potential cost reduction and productivity; Improving and implementing systems to drive capture and entrench savings and improvements Assume responsibility for revenue generation and execution of business strategy plans Establish and monitor performance reporting systems Identify and implement action plans to ensure continuing profitable operations to maximise returns on investments and to increase productivity Review operational performance diagnose inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans Identify the underlying principles reasons or facts behind inefficiencies by analysing facts and develop a timeous solution Co-ordinate the development and implementation of financial systems record keeping systems or other administrative control processes to improve operational efficiencies COMPANY WILL RELOCATE THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL IN SOUTH AFRICA.
