Reports to:- Chief Information Officer Department:- Architecture 2. Job Statement. Brief description of the purpose of the job (what value does this job add) - The development and ongoing improvement of an IS architecture that will cost effectively optimise best practice options and support THE COMPANY business processes whilst ensuring IS compliance 3. Key Performance Areas. The responsibilities must focus on action leading to end results for each area of responsibility. KPA-KPI To define a cost effective IS architecture which is aligned to and supports business and IS vision mission and goals - An enterprise architecture which is based on the research of best practice related to the implementation of business applications information management and IT infrastructure An evaluation of the gaps between the current IS architecture and an optimal IS architectural structure that best fits THE COMPANY business requirements An integrated enterprise architecture that is clearly defined documented communicated regularly reviewed and aligned to the strategic goals of the organisation Analysis modeling and scenario planning which supports key decisions A review of policies and standards with recommendations to align these to envisaged changes Proposed changes to the IS solutions developed and executed in conjunction with senior IS and business management functionaries Contribution as a senior IS team member in communicating the IS business vision and in supporting an integrated approach to the organisation Ensure integration and synergy between the different architecture components- Business architecture in alignment with business strategy and objectives Application and information architecture that realizes business processes A technology architecture that enables business and information architecture An information security framework which identifies risk is factored into the enterprise architecture Develop and manage a technical roadmap with applicable governance rules for implementation - A technical roadmap that supports the short and long term objectives of the business Rules that encapsulate the creation maintenance and governance of conceptual models and system maps are defined and documented An alignment to continual process improvements in all functional areas of THE COMPANY IS Defined policies and procedures that are relevant and effective in supporting compliance to and the maintenance of the required Enterprise Architecture Provide an IT governance framework for the management of the enterprise architecture and the control of identified IS business risk - Policies procedures standards and documentation that underpin the design maintenance and governance of conceptual models and system maps and are effective in supporting compliance to the required enterprise architecture A risk assessment which identifies and addresses inherent risk factors in the enterprise structure An explicit disaster recovery plan that addresses physical and operational risks An information systems design and structure that ensures business continuity and information security Input into the departmental budget -A departmental budget based on based on past trends and future needs Adherence to budget and deviations explained The short and long term cost implications of the architecture roadmap are factored into the annual budget process Implementation of the THE COMPANY people management policies and procedures-Performance standards agreed and reviewed Leadership and direction to subordinates in the areas of technical problems priorities and methods Identified competence gaps coaching and relevant development plans in place 4. Major challenges complexities and risk associated with the job. Developing and maintaining an enterprise architecture that meets current business needs and anticipates future business challenges To communicate the business case / value add of efficiently designed processes and systems architecture to secure business buy-in Balancing business requirements with technology in a rapidly changing technological and legislative environment Balancing the cost element with projected business benefit of any proposed technical IS initiatives relating to enterprise architecture To establish processes and design systems for company-wide implementation that work effectively in a diverse environment To anticipate and mitigate possible risk factors to information security and business continuity inherent in the enterprise architecture 5. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Elaborate lead management Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all Sales Segments in collaboration with Mid Market Channel and Marketing. Aim is to define a clear process that defines how leads should typically be routed through the systems. This includes a clear definition of roles and responsibilities for all parties involved. Help drive revenue through demand generation and opportunity nurturing. Outbound calling with the objective to qualify leads received from Marketing and Tech-Refresh: Campaign and event follow up with the aim to qualify leads and arrange appointments. Nurture leads until ready for field/channel handover. Push Sales Qualified leads into the predefined routes as per the below: SQLs 50K for Mid Market Select Customers to be passed to the Mid Market AM for the 1st customer call and follow up. SQLs 50K for Geography Customers to be passed to the GEO Territory AM for the 1st customer call and follow up. All SQLs 50K to be passed to distribution (after consultation with Channel Manager) through PRM. For all Mid Market opportunities it is the LNC s responsibility to follow up the opportunities and make sure that internally as well as externally (EMC Business Partners) all opportunities (SQLs) are correctly updated and reflected in SFDC respectively PRM. Lead Management Responsibilities: Lead the weekly lead opportunity review as part of the sales review to outline: Leads by AM/Partner not touched for a certain period of time. Leads in queues that are untouched due to a missing owner. Outline leads (and their owners) that do not meet the predefined SLA agreements. Discuss together with the Marketing Channel and Sales Managers action items and support required. Experience & Skills Required: Basic knowledge of EMC and its products/solutions.
