Compilation of Project Plans including project allowables statements of work divisional and company systems development and customer liaison. 3. DUTIES 3.1 Preparation of Project Plans and Statements of Work. 3.2 Preparation and compilation of Bills of Quantities / Price Schedules including the pricing thereof utilising the CCS system and Microsoft software. 3.3 Preparing and compilation of site and project allowables. 3.4 Bid process management including inter-divisional liaison for project requirements. 3.5 Pricing of variation orders. 3.6 Final account settlement. 3.7 Sub-contractor negotiation and adjudication. 3.8 Carry out project risk assessments and analysis 3.9 Compile Project Mark-Up and Profit / Loss Statements 4. RESPONSIBILITIES 4.1 Detailed knowledge of the contract specifications and commercial contract agreements. 4.2 Customer liaison. 4.3 Divisional systems development. 4.4 Standards and systems control. 4.5 Interrogate divisional inputs for final quote preparation and submission. 4.6 To comply with any further instructions or requirements of a reasonable nature that may be given by senior management from time to time. 5. AUTHORITY 6.1 To sign off quotations tenders variation orders and Final Accounts. 6.2 To sign off project allowables statements of work and Project Plan documentation. 6.3 Interrogate divisional inputs for final quote preparation. 6.3 To ratify and approve purchase orders placed by customers and clear any commercial issues. 7. Staff Direct Labour Consultancy Estimating Manager MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To ensure the estimating function for the EPCbusiness in the African Region is adequately structured with suitably trained personnel and common procedures practices and reporting formats.Also to act as a deputy to the Regional EPC Proposals and Estimating Manager Africa. JOB OBJECTIVES 1. Embrace and live the safety leadership covenants developed within the Group. Demonstrate these behaviours and preach the vision. 2. Take leadership of all EPC estimates for the region. 3. Read and understand the multidiscipline tender scope of work assemble the estimating team and distribute the tender documentation appropriately. 4. Set up estimate templates in accordance with the form of tender requirements of the ITB. 5. Maintain an efficient electronic filing system for estimate data. 6. Train and develop new estimators. 7. Provide leadership within the regional EPC estimating & proposals group to ensure that the group norms standards procedures systems and L&LoA are consistently applied in performing day-to-day tasks. 8. Identify and promote best practices within the EPC estimating team in the region. 9. Provide periodical report on the estimating activities and success ratio achieved in each area. Target success ratio for EPC bids is 33% by value and number. 10. Ensure that there is a suitable structure for EPCestimating in the Vanderbijlpark offices to support the EPC estimating requirements for African region.. 11. Any other job as advised by the immediate supervisor within the context of the primary job responsibility (estimating) and additional responsibility proposals management where applicable. 12.
