AREAS of RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES SALES BUDGET PLANNING & CONTROL Shared responsibilities with Regional Sales Manager Annual planning of volume by customer in the designated area by customer by family by brand by session Planning of core objectives of third parties to achieve area targets and planned strategies Development and Operative Management of the Sales Forecast for the assigned area and by product grouping Monitor and review of sales plans and trends on a monthly and session basis with proposal of corrective measures where necessary Constant monitoring of field activities performance and proper accomplishment of sales conditions trade agreement and retail prices trends. Constant support to sales activities in the assigned area ensuring goods availability and freshness in order to meet product and material demand Ensures adherence to sales policies and procedures in particular concerning management and control of pricing FINANCIAL ACUMEN Shared responsibilities with Business Intelligence Understands / translates and implements sources where applicable which can build selling stories for the channel & specific accounts i.e. market data consumer data trade information business numeric (i.e. margin) and customer P&L information RELATIONSHIP BUILDING Build relationships with third party providers through regular interaction sharing of objectives and resolution of issues Build relationship with customers through regular calling efficient response to issues and requests and development of customers business through activating initiatives and strategy SELLING / NEGOTIATION/CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT Interact with customers at store level to ensure buy in to company strategy and negotiated customer agreements Ad-hoc selling and negotiation of additional promotions/space and price offs to compliment company strategy Communicate regularly with Store Managers on key actions needed activate store replenishment systems and implement top end coverage plan Ensure customers are managed correctly by third party agents through regular trade visits and on the job coaching SALES DEVELOPMENT Ensures the achievement of the area sales objectives while detecting and proposing development and growth opportunities in the assigned area Contributes to plan the merchandising initiatives in the area and manages the merchandising services FIELD COORDINATION Coordinates the sales force structure of the sales and merchandising agency in the assigned area in terms of territories and call cycles defining priorities and operational plans according to programs and initiatives scheduled in the Canvas Works alongside the Sales representatives of the third party sales and merchandising agency in order to support them in dealing with any operational issues concerning clients or 3rd party agents Ensures the most adequate approach of sales structure to channel in line with Trade Marketing guidelines and priorities Liaises with the Logistic Function in order to guarantee the order fulfillment in compliance with guidelines and priorities Liaises with KAM and RSM to gather all the relevant information on Key account Plans activities contracts deals with customers in the assigned area communicating the agreements to the managed sales structure in order to ensure implementation at store level of central negotiations Ensures that stores in the relevant area are in line with Company requirements during Trade Visits MANAGING TEAM / LEADERSHIP (IF APPLICABLE) Lead the team by example and ensure activities definition planning and roll out according to regional plans through definition and ongoing review of key scorecard measures Measure team performance on a weekly and monthly basis through appropriate systems Identifying areas of shortfall in team and agents performance and institute corrective actions where necessary Hold regular (weekly monthly) meetings with the Sales & Merchandiser Agent and lead their activity through specific objectives & management tools in order to achieve Area target objectives Guarantee HR professional development evaluating people and proposing training and development initiatives or to apply for this vacancy.
