Communicate with Operations Manager Regional Managers and Plant Managers to ensure correct products are available for clients. Should be able to liaise with on a one-to-one basis with clients regarding the products and services provided by the company. Should be able to communicate telephonically with clients regarding the products and services provided by the company. Should be able to carry out visual presentations to clients requiring information on the products and services provided by the company. Meet with clients on a social basis inside and outside of working hours. Be familiar with the requirements of the residents of areas where the Plants are located. Liaise with Logistics Manager in times of high demand to ensure availability of trucks. Planning: Carry out long and short term planning and charting of market trends and future developments in the region. Carry out long and short term strategic planning Maintain sales targets and sales budgets. Carry out market surveys to assist with future planning. Intercede when sales are not moving according to the planned parameters. Controlling: Control sales according to production priorities by liaising with the Plant Managers and the Regional Managers. Take ownership of his/her designated area of influence. Handling Stress: Able to work under high pressure as on the spot decisions are required from time to time. Tight deadlines must be adhered too. Be able to handle abusive or awkward clients. Problem Solving: Should have a sound technical knowledge of all products and services provided by the company. Should be able to analyse problems and suggest solutions to management or peers. Should be able to resolve customer complaints and achieve win win solutions. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAS) Marketing of products and services provided by the company. Liaising with clients Carry out marketing surveys. Analyse market trends. Liaise with transporters if required. Coordinate the companies Safety Health and Environmental Programme issues in the areas under his/her control. DUTIES RELATED TO KPAS Coordinate sales and sales administration. By: Providing management reports as required by the Regional Managers. Setting personal targets in consultation with Regional Managers and Plant Managers. Visiting clients. Following up potential clients queries. Carrying out Cold Calls on potential clients. Receiving telephonic orders from clients. Collecting information on the client s requirements and completing relevant documentation. Ensure day to day documentation related to client s needs is up to date. Ensure timeous collection cheques and COD payments from clients. Carry out the relevant inspections and control parameters to ensure the quality of that the representatives personal marketing functions output and targets is maintained at all times. Ensure all company marketing procedures are adhered too. Ensure all filing of all relevant customer documentation and customer related issues filing system is maintained and up to date. Liaise with Operations Manager Regional Managers Plant Managers and Transporters to ensure trucks are available for delivering the product to the clients during periods of high demand. ADHOC ISSUES Manpower Monitor continuous on the job training of trainees if required. Ensure the geographical areas within their control are fully serviced and under control. Ensure that all leads are followed up within their areas of responsibility. Workload Be aware of production workloads and deadlines. Carry out random checks and inspections to ensure deadlines are met. (Has client received orders? etc.) Communicate with operational staff to ensure that deadlines are met. Ensure all communication with senior management is maintained and on time. Be aware of stock available on operations. Marketing Carry out market surveys. Ensure that job incumbent is familiar with all clients. Ensure that job incumbent is aware of all new projects and developments in Gauteng and Surrounding areas. Communicate details of different products and applications. Communicating prices and policies to clients. Communicate details of COD system to clients. Communicate details of discounting system to clients. Production and Quality Resolve materials discrepancies with clients if such discrepancies cannot be rectified by operational staff. Ensure clients receive correct materials as per their orders.
