Job Purpose Proactively develop maintain and expand an enhanced relationship with identified clients through holistic professional reliable and appropriate financial solutions and to achieve financial targets and sales objectives within the Private Bank market Key Responsibilities Own the primary relationship with the external client Secure new business or sales acquired through interaction and engagement with current and prospective clients and leads generation Review and negotiate pricing structures with clients in line with the Bank Pricing policy Manage and execute a Client Contract Plan Contact within the assigned portfolio of clients to discuss their financial needs Complete detailed assessments of client needs for banking products Act as the conduit to create lead opportunities for financial and estate planning and call on specialists to assist Log general queries by passing the details on to the Sales Support team and revert back to clients Act as backup for other Private Bankers in the team Manage high risk clients accounts in collaboration with Credit Operations Ensure transparency and open dialogue between credit and the client Keep abreast of developments in the industry or sector Assist with the development of high quality credit client solutions which are both practical and appropriate for clients Assist in communication with the client to support managing the referral listings and support reduction in credit risk Drive the credit review process Avoid provisions on DI500 by adhering to credit risk standards Submit applications to credit by completing comprehensive high quality call reports Coordinate the outstanding reviews DI500 securities and FICA on clients Action credit reports or listings by contacting clients Ensure that arrangements with clients are within the credit guidelines and that credit is informed of special arrangements Complete an analysis of the profitability of the portfolio of clients including the quality of credit and make recommendations to the Manager Analyse sales achieved against set targets for new and existing clients Discuss with the Manager Client Relations and include action plans to address shortfalls in sales Review the portfolio from a compliance perspective Obtain or maintain the required FAIS appropriate qualification or regulatory examination Complete the relevant Compliance Risk and System Product and role fundamental training Competencies Deciding and initiating action Relating and networking Persuading and influencing Presenting and communicating information Writing and reporting Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
