QUALITY TECHNOLOGIST Based in Phalaborwa our client is looking to employ a Quality Technologist in the SHEQ department as follows:- Purpose of the job: The purpose of the job is to develop implement maintain and continually improve the Management systems in use at our client i.e. ISO 9001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 and SANS 16001. Plan execute internal audits for the management systems in use at our client i.e. ISO 9001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 and SANS 16001 Manage and analyse the Incident management system ISOMETRIX to ensure all incidents audits have been completed. Develop facilitate and assist document control for the systems listed above. Collect and manage customer complaints as well as non-conformances Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: Grade 12 (Std 10) or N3 with at least one of the following subjects passed: Mathematics Physical science Valid Public driver s license. (C1 EC EC1) Computer literate on Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. National Quality Management diploma Training provided: Training for the position Quality Technologist includes internal auditing course (for ISO management systems) ISO systems management courses. Experience : Min: 3 Years related experience RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and facilitate implementation of management systems in line with the requirements of ISO 9001 ISO14001 OHSAS 18001 and SANS 16001 management standards Review departmental and section procedures and task descriptions to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards audit these procedures and facilitate improvements. Follow up Analyse plant data for trends and actions required. Investigate and take appropriate action. Prepare and present information on system suitability and effectiveness in management review of the quality assurance and environmental assurance system Oversee the control of non-conformance s and customer complaints - taking corrective action facilitating cause analysis. Follow up Measure the costs of quality - appraisal costs prevention costs internal and external failure costs. Assist in control of the reward system Reconciliation between procedures - verifying links between procedures instructions and legal requirements Planning of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audit programme which include doing sectional audits to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards evaluating audits and taking corrective action. Involvement in SHEQ audits Where necessary identify and implement statistical methods to verify production capability and that products produced meets specifications Preparation for external integrated SHEQ audit reviewing all procedures and instructions Carry out audit with certification body. Do analysis of results highlight deficiencies and facilitate corrective action Administrative duties relating to the incident management system ISOMETRIX; follow-up on outstanding issues Meeting all Legal Company and manufacture s specifications Solve problems in which responses display that responsible decisions using critical and creative thinking have been made. Work effectively with others as a member of a team group organisation or community. Identification and knowledge of all components and other emergencies equipment. Collect analyse organise and critically evaluate information. Use science and technology effectively and critically showing responsibility towards the environment and health of others.
