Drive cost reduction whilst optimizing resources and meeting resource requirements continuously. Effective and efficient planning allocation and maintenance of resources to meet daily operational needs labour warehouse capacity equipment material handling equipment. Reduce waste in identifying and eliminating non-value adding activities in the operation through fostering an environment for innovativeness trial-and-error and use of suggestion boxes and dynamic work teams. Maintain overtime in alignment with the departmental set budget. Usage of casual labour in accordance with the departmental set budget. Usage of consumables within the set parameters per material and in alignment with the departmental set budget. Eliminate waste in usage of consumables. Abuse of material handling equipment and operational equipment investigated and recovered from negligent employees through the proper process. Process: ? Ensure finished goods is received stored handled and issued according to system and process policies and procedures. Adherence to all company policies and procedures with regard to the receiving handling storage and issuing of finished goods to the Dispatch Department ? Accurate Stock Control through cycle counts FIFO principles and procedures SYSPRO/WMS transactions. Adherence to all company policies and procedures with regard to cycle counts stock counts stock rotation FIFO principles and SYSPRO/WMS required transactions. Ensure all products in the warehouses have labels and tracking ID s with the correct product code product description and unit of measure lot numbers and expiry dates. Review of essential daily reports to ensure all requirements are met such as SYSPRO Inventory Exceptions Report daily clearance of the Packing warehouse (16). Daily review of the PICK00 report to ensure all products on this report is for current outgoing orders. Accountable for material movements in the rework/expired warehouse (06) and the returns warehouse (22). Ensure that finished goods physical location in the warehouses match the product s location in SYSPRO/WMS. Ensure that all samples removed from the finished goods warehouse are accounted for and transferred to RMQC warehouse (11). ? Drive Quality Environmental Awareness Safety Security and Health in the workplace whilst assessing Risks continuously. Ensure daily housekeeping is done according to the Master Cleaning Schedule and that inspections are done as per company procedures and all deviations are rectified immediately. Building and infrastructure must be compliant to Food Safety Regulations. All deviations reported and maintenance done to ensure continuous adherence. Ensure that spillages are cleaned immediately and that broken bags are treated as per Food Safety Regulations. Ensure that cleaning equipment is used and stored as per Food Safety Regulations. Ensure that broken pallets are removed out of circulation to prevent damage and contamination of the finished products. Ensure that layer pads are placed between product and wooden pallets. Ensure proper stacking and storage practices are carried out and that employees are trained and that re-fresher training is conducted annually. Report any sub sub-standard packaging damaged finished goods received from customer returns to the Central Planning Officer and RMQC/Technical immediately. Non-compliance reports to be investigated and actioned immediately. Root causes identified and the appropriate preventative and corrective measures taken and documented. All risks in the operation assessed and reported to the Health & Safety Committee. Member of the Food Safety Committee and will be available for Customer and SABS Audits. Member of the Health & Safety Committee. Daily feedback on the Warehouse Housekeeping Daily Report for actions taken on issues reported by QC Monitoring weekly and for any other queries. People: ? People management through applied Human Resource and Industrial Relationship tools policies and procedures. Manage employee time and attendance absenteeism and leave in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Company policies and procedures. Manage and motivate employee performance through the Operational Excellence Charter on individual and team performance. Ensure optimal employee productivity. Reward and recognise employees for exceptional performance. Manage disciplinary in accordance to industrial relations legislation the Company Code of Conduct and Leadership Values. Manage diversity in the work place. Coach and train employees. Employee interactions through team meetings feedback sessions and training sessions. Customer Service: ? Ensure finished products are received in full and in good order from Packing. Close liaison with the Production Assistant receipt of packed finished products and clearance of warehouse (16). Close liaison with the Central Planning Officer and Technical Manager for approval acceptance of Customer Returns. All Customer Returns to have an authorized GRN indicating reason for return product description product code quantity to be returned and lot numbers. Close liaison with RMQC/Technical Manager in clearing of warehouses 06 and 22 product shelf life extensions and expired stock. Attend daily Factory meetings. Attend weekly Warehouse meetings. ? Ensure Customers are supplied with finished picked orders in the right quantity the right quality and the right best before age and at the right time to meet Customer delivery needs. Ensure sales order picking operation achieves 100% to Sales / Dispatch requirements. Ensure that stock reaching 6 months best before date is reported to Central Planning Office and the Sales Department. Daily feedback on the Warehouse Housekeeping Daily Report for actions taken on issues reported by any internal department for action and resolution Key Performance Indicators: Finance Obsolete/expired stock write offs due to incorrect handling and FIFO practices: R0. Consumables: Budget met 5% saving in usage without affecting quality and safety. Casual and overtime usage: Budget met. Processes Stock take accuracies: Target 98% accuracy. Packing warehouse (16) cleared daily: Target 0 items in warehouse older than one day. Housekeeping standards adhered to: Number of NCR s raised against department: Target 0. Missing / unallocated stock indicated as number of pick slips not completed for day as percentage of total pick slips allocated for the day: Target 0%. Operational Excellence Charter targets met and exceeded. People Absenteeism: Target 3%. Number of training days per employee per year: Target 3 days.
