ENVIRONMENT: Our client based in Cape Town is looking for an Analyst Programmer to join their team. DUTIES: Provide ODI and PLSQL development. Analysis of new system requirements and impact analysis. Oracle data integrator development and design. Design and development of new features and products based on functional specification and defined architecture within agreed timescales. Design architecture map business rules and processes into technical solutions. Develop design specifications and unit test plans. 3rd line support. Provide design development and testing estimations based on business/user requirements. Mentor junior developers. REQUIREMENTS: Applicable Tertiary qualification or relevant experience. Minimum 5 years relevant database development experience. Minimum 2 years Oracle Data Integrator Experience. Technical understanding of data modelling design and architecture principles and techniques. Analysis of new system requirements and impact analysis. Design architecture map business rules and processes into technical solutions. Provide design development and testing estimations based on business/user requirements. Design and development of new features and products based on functional specification and defined architecture in agreed timescales. Knowledge Database performance tuning. Oracle 11G. Excellent SQL skills. Telco experience highly advantageous. Ability to work with a technical team comprised of internal and external resources. Ability to plan and organize development work and deliverables. Willingness and ability to work under pressure. Ability to develop relationships with client. Good communication skills. Excellent problem solving ability. Ability to work autonomously. 3rd Line support including after-hours on a roster basis. Regional Sales Manager

ENVIRONMENT: This Cape Town based company requires a Regional Sales Manager to join their team. The Regional Sales Manager will play a key role in managing account retention and increasing revenues for the company within the selected client portfolio in Sub-Saharan Africa territory. The Regional Sales Manager will have a local reporting line to the Managing Director Africa and EMEA VP of Sales. DUTIES: Effectively manage assigned accounts across the region developing appropriate sales strategies to generate licence and service sales. Identify and undertake specific initiatives to win new business with existing accounts. Work with sales management to develop and execute account plans for target market sectors. Identify contact and qualify new prospects within the territory: cold calling and market lead follow up. Along with the sales team develop and execute responses to queries from prospects and clients which may take the form of informal requests or more formal RFI/RFP documents. Start and manage the whole sales cycle and be the focal point in all relations with a perspective client (information flow and coordination commitments etc.). Make contacts with potential clients and introduce proposals for a demonstration and discovery sessions of company s products. Negotiate terms and conditions of all sales and service agreements both with new and existing clients. Provide market intelligence and input. REQUIREMENTS: Proven client relationship management and software sales experience. A track record of hitting sales target of over 1 million in License & Services. Knowledge of financial markets and strong network in the Financial Services industry. Good understanding of financial services operations. Of particular value is knowledge of reconciliation and matching processes within banking and other financial institutions i.e. Nostro Securities Confirmation Matching and system to system tasks. Capable articulate and personable self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop relationship at all levels of the organisation. Strong ability to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative tenacity and perseverance. Team player able to work successfully within immediate team and the broader technical pre-sales and client support environment. Good written and verbal English language skills essential. Demonstrate good communication presentation and interpersonal skills to establish interest trust and credibility. This position will require regular travel in the Sub-Saharan African region. Management Accountant

ENVIRONMENT: This Cape Town based company requires a Management Account with a Bachelor of Commerce qualification 2-5 years management accountant experience previous experience in the review and preparation of management reports previous experience managing high performance teams knowledge of finance accounting taxation and financial management knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and previous working experience in retail would be advantageous. DUTIES: Key Performance Areas Management reporting Ensure accurate management accounts are issued to the business by the monthly deadlines. Ensure timely completion to the management accounts cash flow report by the monthly agreed deadlines. Perform a monthly analysis of the creditors and accruals accounts for purposes of completing the cash flow report above. Ensure correct forecast and comparatives reflects in management accounts. Ensure appropriate accrual journals are raised at each month end. Ensure correct tax entries are processed at each month end. Ensure reports are considered and updated to comply with and address business needs. Ensure that large variances are investigated and feedback provided to Financial Manager. Attend monthly management account meetings with the various business units to discuss queries and address action points. Continuously work at improving reporting deadlines and qualitative value of management accounts and supporting schedules to better meet the needs of the various business units. Liaise with various departments to ensure timely and accurate information is received for input into the management reports. Processing of month-end journals: Performance of standard month end journals. Reviewing of management reports and processing of correcting journals where appropriate. Review and interrogation of reports received from 3rd parties which are used as part of the month end journal raising process. Cash clearing and daily cash reporting reconciliation: Review daily cash reconciliations performed by the cash book clerk. Update daily cash movement report for the company. Prepare daily cash receipts e-mail for distribution to senior management. Investigate and comment on reasons for large variances between actual and forecast reporting. Prepare the monthly cash clearing reconciliation ensuring that all timing variances are appropriately recorded and reconciling items promptly investigated and resolved. Supervision of staff: Review and provide feedback on the work of the cash book clerk and reconciliation clerk to ensure that all is up to date and properly completed. Assistance to be given to relevant staff to ensure that they understand what is required of them to perform their tasks. Exercise appropriate planning to ensure that staff deadlines for management reports are met. Ensure that all direct reports have KPA s in place against which to manage performance levels that adequately reflects expected performance outcomes and defines appropriate competencies and behaviours of the role. Ensure that all direct reports have development plans in place which appropriately identifies areas of personal and professional development and includes tangible development goals. Review of month end reconciliations: Review month-end reconciliations as prepared by direct reports to ensure that: Reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis by the agreed deadline dates. All reconciliations are appropriately reconciled to general ledger balances. All reconciling items are valid. All reconciling items identified are promptly investigated and resolved. Adhoc activities: Performance of various adhoc activities to support the finance department in achieving its reporting objectives including but not limited to: The completion of applications for foreign payments. Receiving and analysing salary deduction and staff purchase reports and preparation of allocation journals per department. Processing of requested correcting / adjusting journal entries. Performance of any investigations requested by the financial manager or finance director. Preparation of any adhoc reports as requested by the financial manager or finance director. Completion of any forms / returns as requested by the financial manager or finance director. Preparation of any schedules required as part of the year end audit process. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications Bachelor of Commerce. Experience & Skills 2-5 Years management accountant experience. Previous experience in the review and preparation of management reports. Previous experience managing high performance teams. Knowledge of finance accounting taxation and financial management. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
