Yazoo Recruitment Business Intelligence Analyst - KH Our client a very successful law firm is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst ( BI Analyst ) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Relevant university degree Training in BI products preferably Business Objects and Microsoft SQL Server Minimum of two years working in a business intelligence environment: o One year experience using various BI products e.g. Business Objects Crystal Reports o One year experience in programming in SQL Demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse design methodologies Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services KEY RESPONSIBILITIES System Analysis and Design System Development o Develop ad-hoc data extracts using Business Objects SQL and SQL Server Integration Services o Develop front end systems based on requirement specifications System Implementation o Ensure accuracy of extracted data prior to sending the results out o Implement new solutions including ETL projects Business Objects Reports and SQL extracts System Testing and Quality Assurance o Perform testing to ensure information meets the requirements and accurately reflects the data of the source system o Ensure the output data is accurate o Liaise with applicable people to ensure source data discrepancies are rectified. Support and Training o Provide reports as requested by practitioners o Give day-to-day support and training to internal clients on: Business Objects report data definitions on extracted data and data definitions of available data System Maintenance o Perform tests to ensure the warehouse and source system data remains aligned o Monitor system performance and exceptions o Attend to technical problems experienced on reporting systems Administration o Ensure system documentation is in place o Manage all aspects of scheduled reporting o Administer security on reporting systems o Co-ordinate provision of Performance Enhancement Discussion documentation o Idu support This is a demanding but stimulating position which will require working outside of normal office hours when necessary. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Liaising with hospital case managers with respect to clinical information required to update length of stay in specialized units as well as hospital and with respect to medical scheme benefits. Manage hospital admissions appropriately by critically evaluating clinical information. Cases must be well documented. Achieve savings for the schemes by keeping costs of hospitalization down and preventing re-work. Build relationships with hospital credit controllers hospital case managers doctors brokers and other providers / manufacturers. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Attention to detail and methodical work method Ability to work accurately and thoroughly Organized (ability to plan organize & control own work) Ability to work towards deadlines Adaptability to new challenges REQUIREMENTS Matric Professional nurse with at least 10 years experience following registration. Experience in ICU operating theatre or emergency / trauma units essential. PC literacy is a recommendation but not essential. Proof of SANC current registration receipt is required.
